The weaker the Gulf Stream becomes, the more difficult it will be to predict the future.

The Gulf Stream is slowing down because the circulation of warmer surface waters and colder water in the ocean is weakening. The ocean can no longer store heat as it used to, which also reduces its capacity to absorb carbon from the atmosphere.

Warm water is carried in Gulf stream current , all the way from the Gulf of Mexico to the Arctic Ocean..

When a large quantity of water from the melted ice is introduced in areas where heavier water would descend towards the bottom, the salinity of the water will decrease, slowing down the descent and, consequently, the circulation

A weaker Gulf Stream will lead to the stratification of the ocean, which in turn accelerates global warming if the warmer waters are prevented from descending.

When AMOC flow slows down, less heat is sequestered in the seas and so our land surface temperatures increase. When the AMOC current moves faster, more of the heat that is trapped in our atmosphere is taken and stored up to 1,500m below the surface of the ocean.

With the huge decline of AMOC flow , less heat goes into the waters and more into the air, leading to higher global temperatures. Extreme weather results from the slowdown of the Atlantic Meridional overturning circulation

Recent summer heat waves weather and extremes in western Europe are related to the slow down of AMOC.

The Gulf Stream is just a critical part of what is known as the AMOC, or Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation, which is part of the Great Ocean Conveyor (The ocean circulation then travels all over the globe). As the warm, salty water reaches the far North Atlantic, it cools down. Cooler water sinks, starting the “return” part of the circulation.

Enhanced melting of the Greenland Ice Sheet, adds fresh water to the surface ocean and reduces the density of the water that drives deep convection.

While Atlantic meridonial overturning circulation (AMOC) and THC are two terms that are often used interchangeable, the AMOC differs as it involves the total circulation in the latitude depth plane that, in its name alone, does not provide any information on the driving factors of its circulation, whereas the driving factor of THC is implied in its name as directly related to the creation and destruction of buoyancy.

By transporting heated water from the Southern Hemisphere, this ocean circulation system absorbs a substantial amount of heat from these areas and transports it to higher latitudes for release into the atmosphere. The AMOC therefore play a crucial role in maintaining the climate of nearby coastal areas

Crucially, the entire AMOC system depends on cool, dense water “overturning” in the northwest Atlantic Ocean. Without cooled water plunging into the deep ocean near Greenland, and turning back south, the entire conveyor belt will stop.

When Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation ( AMOC is strong, it sends millions of cubic meters of ocean water north every day. A strong AMOC shapes the entire planet’s climate systems. It assures the health of monsoons in India.

Indian monsoon blows from the northeast during cooler months and reverses direction to blow from the southwest during the warmest months of the year. This process brings large amounts of rainfall to the region during June and July.

The westerly subtropical jet stream still controls the flow of air across northern India, and the surface winds are northeasterlies.

What is a GYRE?

Gyre, in oceanography and climatology, is a vast circular system made up of ocean currents that spirals about a central point.

In oceanography, a gyre is any large system of circulating ocean currents, particularly those involved with large wind movements.

Gyres are caused by the Coriolis effect; planetary vorticity along with horizontal and vertical friction, determine the circulation patterns from the wind stress curl (torque).

Wind, tides, and differences in temperature and salinity drive ocean currents.

The ocean churns up different types of currents, such as eddies, whirlpools, or deep ocean currents. Larger, sustained currents—the Gulf Stream, for example—go by proper names. Taken together, these larger and more permanent currents make up the systems of currents known as gyres.

In the Northern Hemisphere, ocean currents are deflected to the right, in a clockwise motion. In the Southern Hemisphere, ocean currents are pushed to the left, in a counterclockwise motion. Beneath surface currents of the gyre, the Coriolis effect results in what is called an Ekman spiral.

While surface currents are deflected by about 45 degrees, each deeper layer in the water column is deflected slightly less. This results in a spiral pattern descending about 100 meters

There are three major types of ocean gyres: tropical, subtropical, and subpolar.

Subpolar gyres form in the polar regions of the planet. They sit beneath an area of low atmospheric pressure. Wind drives the currents in subpolar gyres away from coastal areas. These surface currents are replaced by cold, nutrient-rich water in a process called upwelling. The Northern Hemisphere has several subpolar gyres, bounded by islands such as Iceland, Greenland, and the Aleutians; and the northern reaches of Scandinavia, Asia, and North America.

Tropical gyres form near the Equator. The Coriolis effect is not present at the Equator, and winds are the primary creators of currents. For this reason, tropical gyres tend to flow in a more east-west (instead of circular) pattern. The Indian Ocean Gyre is actually two distinct tropical gyres—the northern and southern Indian Ocean Gyres.

Most of the world’s major gyres are subtropical gyres. These form between the polar and equatorial regions of Earth. Subtropical gyres circle areas beneath regions of high atmospheric pressure. These are placid ocean areas thousands of kilometers in diameter. Unlike coastal zones, these central regions are relatively stable. The ocean water generally stays in one place while the currents of the gyre circulate around it.

Gyres are comprised of ocean currents that link up as they follow the coastlines of the Earth’s continents. Each gyre has a powerful western boundary current and a weaker eastern boundary current.

The North Atlantic Gyre begins with the northward flow of the Gulf Stream along the East Coast of the United States. The Gulf Stream is the western boundary current of the gyre.

The gyre then becomes the North Atlantic Current, which flows across the North Atlantic to Europe Most ocean gyres are very stable and predictable. The North Atlantic Ocean Gyre always flows in a steady, clockwise path around the North Atlantic Ocean.

The temperature in an ocean gyre depends on many factors, including the current. The Gulf Stream and summer monsoon current are warm currents. They are heated by the warm tropical waters of the Caribbean Sea (Gulf Stream) and equatorial Indian Ocean (summer monsoon current).

The North Atlantic Current and winter monsoon current are cool currents. They are cooled by Arctic winds and ocean currents (North Atlantic) and the winter monsoon blowing from the icy Himalayas (winter monsoon current). Ocean gyres circle large areas of stationary, calm water. Debris drifts into these areas and, due to the region’s lack of movement, can accumulate for years.

These regions are called garbage patches.

The circular motion of the gyre draws in the debris, mostly small particles of plastic. Eventually, the debris makes its way to the center of the gyre, where it becomes trapped and breaks down into a kind of plastic soup.

Garbage patches generally accumulate far from any country’s coastline, and it is nearly impossible to track the origin of marine debris.

Methane is a colorless, odorless, combustible gas produced by bacterial decomposition of plant and animal matter. It forms in a process shared by all fossil fuels. First, marine plants and animals die and fall to the seafloor.

Next, mud and other seafloor sediments cover the decomposing organisms. The sediments put a great deal of pressure on the organic matter and begin to compress it. This compression, combined with high temperatures, breaks down the carbon bonds in the organic matter, transforming it into oil and natural gas.

Generally, this methane -- what geologists describe as "conventional" methane -- is located beneath the Earth's surface. To get to it, workers must drill through rock and sediment and tap into the methane deposits to release the gas. Then they pump it to the surface, where it's transported through pipes across the country.

Methane can also form unconventionally if the sediments producing it are located about 1,640 feet (500 meters) below the ocean surface. The near-freezing temperatures and high pressure of these conditions causes the methane to become encased in ice.

The methane doesn't bond chemically with the water. Instead, each tetrahedral methane molecule sits inside a crystalline shell made of ice. This unique substance is known as methane hydrate, and as soon as it reaches warmer temperatures and lower pressures, the ice melts away, leaving behind pure methane.

Methane hydrate is a clathrate, a chemical substance made of one compound nested inside another. The word comes from the Latin clatratus, meaning "bars" or "lattice."

One compound serves as a host, the other as a guest. In the case of methane hydrate, water is the host and methane is the guest.

Prabhupada, free food for schools is corporate social responsibility(CSR). I think background idols and personality prominence is just branding and long term loyalty cultivation program. I wonder if it can be called the semiticization of Indic thought and action modules. From internet I learn, at least in USA, super rich only allocate 5% of wealth to CSR, while 95% is for theirs to keep. Not surprising since big people also blessed this world with charity balls. Very different from the ones Captain emphasizes with exclamation marks. I don't understand the concept of doing things that impoverish large segments and then pine and yearn for les miserables - that too by dressing, drinking, dancing, and partying so as to raise awareness, collect funds, and do charity.I always wondered what kind of effect these parties had on partiers? Do they untwist minds? Do they tug at the heart strings? Do they reach the conscience? Reminds me of Angelina Jolie - Clive Owen movie. He walks into party with stereotypical starving African in his arms creating a scene. She joins aid giving NGO, feminist romance angle or something along those lines.

Captain, should "State-Government" be renamed to "State-Department" ??? For example, "State-Government-of-XYZ" be renamed to "State-Department-of-XYZ". To match with this change, we should rename the position of "Chief-Minister-of-XYZ" to "Head-of-State-Department, XYZ"

Because both Center & State use the word "Government", these State-CMs think they can do whatever they want and that they have freedom over their state which is part of some "Union" (like EU) and hence the orders/decisions of the Center need not be followed/implemented everytime. IF we rename the structure as "National-Government" and "State-Department", I feel that this mindset of "State-G0vt-is-equal-to-Central-G0vt" can be eradicated and will once-and-for-all clarify who is in-charge & whose orders must be followed.

I am absolutely fed up of seeing State-G0vts (especially the State-Pol!t!c!ans) going bonkers acting as if their State is some independent-nation (like France, Italy) which happens to be a part of some larger-regional-political-economic-military-union called "Union-of-Ind!a" (like some combo of European-Union, SCO, CIS, NATO, SEATO, etc.) !!!

Central-G0vt should launch a Vimana program within the next 10 years. Since such a program requires unconventional technologies & resources (which means imports), spy-agencies & traitors will be able to figure out that India is working on some high-tech program. To avoid being accused of attempting to create "advanced-weaponry", G0vt must name the vimana project as "AMANVI". This works because Aman means peace.

Also, while keeping everything top-secret is impossible, the leaks & press-releases should be deliberately done by the G0vt themselves in such a way that the trail of breadcrumbs leads back to a project of an "Inter-Galactic-Transport-Vessel" similar to the NASA-Space-Shuttle or the ficitional "Millenium-Falcon" from "Star-Wars-Universe" which are capable of transporting both humans-&-cargo. While the project itself is peaceful, the fields of technologies such as propulsion, inter-planetary-travel, material-sciences, etc. will have a great-learning-experience which means that the knowledge from this program can be repurposed to create genuine-combat-vimanas capable of action within & outside Earth IF India ever faces any threats. While it may sound wasteful, a Vimana program gives an edge in power because if done correctly, Earth's atmosphere can be fully controlled by a vimana-wielding-nation. Also, using the learnings from this program, it may be possible to find a way to take-down ICBMs and even Satellites, therefore nullifying any threats from other nations.

Captain, long back I got to know that in the Israeli-military (IDF) everyone must start from the bottom. So the Officers are not directly joining after finishing academy but have worked every job & have reached their position (even after conscription they have to work their way up). Heck even the General was a regular soldier in his youth......Should India too follow this model ?????

I ask because in our model we have young-folks directly becoming officers after academy such as IMA, OTA, NDA, etc......whereas experienced-people remain in regular-ranks.....this creates problems because experience triumphs in places like Kashmir where a fresh, inexperienced officer can land his team in trouble due to bad-decisions & lack-of-knowledge of environment/society/etc......and his team has no choice but to obey because he is of higher rank & if they oppose it is misconstrued as "Insubordination".

JUST 20 MINUTES BEFORE THE FINAL KP ASHOK CAME TO ME AND OFFERED HIS SPIKES ( TOO LARGE FOR MY FEET ) AND HIS STARTER BLOCK.

I HAD NEVER RUN IN SPIKES BEFORE AND NEVER USED A STARTER BLOCK..

Captain, if we see in Animals, Insects, Birds, etc....they fight for dominance and want to control territory, food-supply, etc. But, no matter how much they want to dominate, they stop after some limit. For example, an alpha-male-lion will be satisfied with being the boss of 20-sq-km area & will no longer seek to expand his rule.

Humans are supposed to be superior to these beings, yet we do not stop at all even if we have achieved much much more......an example is Rothschild who owns everything and yet they still want more.......how did "superior" humans turn out to be so inferior to these beings ??? Captain, is it possible that dynasty-politics is due to blackmailing done by the NWO ????

If we see, the pol!t!c!ans who have earned lot of black-money due to corruption, illegal-trade, etc. will either die or retire......their descendants who have enjoyed the wealth from (possibly) their childhood, are now accustomed to the wealthy-lifestyle........and NWO will not let some pol!t!c!an retire happily after stealing thousands-of-crores......in typical Zionist/Jew!sh style, they want full "paisa-vasool" (value-for-money) for their investments........so they will warn the descendants --- "Your father/mother earned a lot of money. We know how they earned it & can take it all away from you by getting investigations opened...unless you co-operate by getting into politics & following our orders".

It sounds crazy.....but I have a strong suspicion that NWO is indulging in "Indentured-Labour" of the corrupt-evil-people.....once a person becomes NWO stooge, his/her descendants are forever meant to be NWO stooges because they have no other choice or else they will face punishments/revenge from NWO.......since NWO wants their "Return-on-Investment" after allowing the stooge to become unnaturally-rich.

the amol palekar issue has been racked up and inflated by all the news channels.i feel that the whole drama was preplanned with some govt officials gloves in hand.not a single channel showed the news when elected cm of up was denied landing in west bengal for his speech.was it not attack on freedom of speech.just see prabhakar barwes paintings abt whom the function was all abt.even a 5th std good painter paints better than him.in the name of abstract art they sell crap

Captain, in previous blogpost, I had made two comments (direct-link-above) pointing out the flaws in Air-India-One & Ind!an-G0vt's protocol. I had pointed out how they try to create falthu-hype at the destination by taking a LONG time to disembark the aircraft even after the stairs were attached.

I noticed one thing. The FASTEST-EVER disembark by any Ind!an PM/President was UNDER 4 Minutes !!!! It was done by M0d! during his visit to Isra€l !!! You can see stairs being attached at 13:00 and Mod! comes out at 16:58 !!! No wonder you taunt h!m with prefixes like "APCO", "Kosher", etc. !!!

Prabhupada, free food for schools is corporate social responsibility(CSR). I think background idols and personality prominence is just branding and long term loyalty cultivation program. I wonder if it can be called the semiticization of Indic thought and action modules. From internet I learn, at least in USA, super rich only allocate 5% of wealth to CSR, while 95% is for theirs to keep. Not surprising since big people also blessed this world with charity balls. Very different from the ones Captain emphasizes with exclamation marks. I don't understand the concept of doing things that impoverish large segments and then pine and yearn for les miserables - that too by dressing, drinking, dancing, and partying so as to raise awareness, collect funds, and do charity.I always wondered what kind of effect these parties had on partiers? Do they untwist minds? Do they tug at the heart strings? Do they reach the conscience? Reminds me of Angelina Jolie - Clive Owen movie. He walks into party with stereotypical starving African in his arms creating a scene. She joins aid giving NGO, feminist romance angle or something along those lines.

The economist says a recession could hit later this year or 2020
Will USA go into recession in 2020 so that Democratic Presidential candidate will benefit in 2020 US Presidential Elections ?

Nobel laureate Paul Krugman says he sees a good chance of a recession hitting the U.S. within a year.

Speaking at a government summit in Dubai, the economist and highly read New York Times columnist said the likelihood of an economic slowdown hitting the U.S. was high due to sluggish growth already buffeting China and Europe. According to CNBC, Krugman said that “there was a good chance that the U.S. will have a recession late this year” or by 2020.

Krugman said the fact that policy makers, including the Federal Reserve and the European Central Bank, don’t have room to respond to a downturn also could be a factor that worsens a downturn that hits Europe and Asia and bleeds over into the U.S.

In a separate interview with Bloomberg at the same summit in Dubai, Krugman said he saw even odds of a recession.

“There seems to be an accumulation of smaller problems and the underlying backdrop is that we have no good policy response. [The] Fed can’t cut rates very much. Fiscal policy...there is in fact fiscal space, if we were prepared to use it, but it’s hard to see that this current leadership is going to respond in any nimble way. So, yeah, I’d say there’s better than even odds that we will have a recession,” Krugman told Bloomberg on Sunday.

“The euro area is clearly experiencing a slowdown pretty close to recessionary levels already and has no recourse. Draghi can’t cut rates because they’re negative already ...so I think Europe is a danger spot that is potentially as big as China,” said the economist, referring to the ECB’s President Mario Draghi and that central bank’s stimulus measures rolled out to address the 2007-’09 financial crisis.

To be sure, Krugman, who hasn’t been shy about forecasting economic recessions that failed to materialize, acknowledges that his track record (and everybody else’s) in predicting slowdowns is far from infallible.

“By the way, my track record for this is bad — as is everybody’s. No one is good at calling these turning points,” Krugman said, according to CNBC.
