himself into a most STUPID explanation – that his NLP Fast Phobia Cure allows you to re-experience
a trauma or phobia without experiencing
the emotional content of the event or having to face the trigger that sets off the phobic response.
Detailed below is his
MINDLESS explanation and modus operandi.
This Fast food –nay- fast
Phobia cure thingy ensures that you examine an experience while you’re doubly dissociated from the
memory, creating a separation between you (in the now) and the emotions
of a trauma or a phobic response.
In the following list, the double
dissociation is done through having you watch yourself in a cinema (dissociation),
while watching yourself on a cinema screen (double dissociation)
1. Identify when you
have a phobic response to a stimulus or a traumatic or unpleasant memory
that you want to overcome.
2. Remember that you
were safe before and are safe after the unpleasant experience.
3. Imagine yourself
sitting in the cinema, watching yourself on a small, black-and-white screen.
4. Now imagine floating
out of the ‘you’ that’s sitting in the cinema seat and into the projection
booth.
5. You can now see
yourself in the projection booth, watching yourself in the seat, watching
the film of you on the screen.
6. Run the film in
black and white, on the very tiny screen, starting before you experienced
the memory you want to overcome and running it through until after
the experience when you were safe.
7. Now freeze the film
or turn the screen completely white.
8. Float out of the
projection booth, out of the seat, and into the end of the film.
9. Run the film
backwards very quickly, in a matter of a second or two, in full colour, as if
you’re experiencing the film, right back to the beginning, when you
were safe.
10. You can repeat
steps 8 and 9 until you’re comfortable with the experience.
11. Now go into the
future and test an imaginary time when you may have experienced the phobic
response.

rundown of how Sanatana Dharma , views the whole affair
Remember the white man

earth , we acquire some bad karma and some good karma.
Only conscious humans
have bad karma baggage . Animals do NOT have karma as they have never

In each incarnation we
suffer the consequences of some of our previous bad karma –and every human soul
has a RESULTANT KARMIC BAGGAGE -- plus some
picked up “ soul samskaras ” which affect current life on the planet , like
phobias , deep rooted vices etc .
Though weighed down by
past life samskaras , the soul ( ball of energy ) within you is a part of the
mother field of brahmAn ( god ) .
You are this ball of
energy. You are NOT what you see in the
mirror.
YOU were born with the
stars .
The best way to utilise
the law of attraction is to adopt a positive outlook and allow life to unfold
naturally – trust life rather than resisting it. Don't dwell on your past mistakes or worry
about what might happen in the future because that will attract negativity into
your life.
Only when we expand in
consciousness by yoga we can really use FREE WILL to create your own destiny
and lessen you karmic baggage.
Yoga empowers you to
take charge of your destiny , though it cant alter your fate.
The purpose of life on
this planet is to be happy while pursuing the goal of lessening your karmic
baggage as much as possible.
The Universe is not inanimate but conscious; it records our
actions and provides feedback to us for our psychic growth through the
mechanism of karma. This karma gets recorded in the form of inchoate formations
in the higher mental worlds.
These formations get
fleshed out as they descend through the various planes of consciousness until
they materialize at the appropriate time as events in the physical world.
The Law of Karma is
infallible and everyone is subjected to
it.. Even Vishnu avatars on earth subjected themselves
to it.
As per the law of
karma, every positive deed which we do, generates positive marks, while every sin ( laws of
universe ignored ) results in negative marks , which subsequently we need to
repay by enduring happiness or unhappiness in this life of the next
During our day-to-day
interactions, we are either increasing or reducing the karmic baggage
weight. If the karmic baggage weights
you will have another re-birth and another chance to lighten it. We are not consciously aware of the
give-and-take karmic accounts generated in our previous births.
In our subsequent
births, we may or may not be equipped to settle our destiny and the paradox is
that at the same time we are creating new karmic accounts. Thus, this loop of karma and destiny binds
us and we remain entangled in it.
The only way through
which we can nullify our give and take account and destiny is through sustained
and regular spiritual practice. There is NO NLP short cut. In Sanatana Dharma the true purpose of life
is to overcome karma (destiny) and attain moksha where you become god.
The ball of energy
within you ( soul ) merges with brahmAn ( mother energy field ). The soul was once part of it.

The law of cause and
effect, action and reaction, the law of karma is an integral part of
spirituality. It gives us a basis on
which to make right choices and create a beautiful future for ourselves and the
world around us.
The two currents of the mind viz., Raga and
Dvesha (attraction and repulsion) constitute world or Samsara. The mind gets
intensely attached to pleasant objects through attraction because it derives
pleasure.
Wherever there is
sensation of pleasure, the mind gets glued ( addicted porn/ drugs ) , as it
were, to the object that gives pleasure. This is what is called attachment.
This only brings bondage and pain.
When either object is
withdrawn or perishes, the mind gets unspeakable pain. Attraction is the root cause of human
sufferings. The mind runs from those
objects ( say drugs )which give pain.
Attraction and
pleasure, repulsion and pain coexist.
A worldly man is a
slave of these two mighty and devastating currents. He is tossed about hither
and thither like a piece of straw.
He smiles when he gets
pleasures, he weeps when he gets pain. He clings to pleasant objects, he runs
away from objects that cause pain.
Modern civilisation is
only another name for sensual enjoyment. Bimbettes attend page 3 parties or drag a long

The sincere aspirant
will resolutely turn his back to all these sorts of shallow ego laden pleasures.
He will treat them all as poison or
shit.
Raga binds one to
samsara; vairagya liberates from bondage.
Vairagya thins out the
fatty sensual mind. It turns the mind inward. Vairagya is the most important
qualification for a spiritual aspirant. Without
it, no spiritual life is possible.
Practice (abhyasa) and
non-attachment (vairagya) are the two core principles on which the entire
system of Yoga rests.
Abhyasa means having an
attitude of persistent effort to attain and maintain a state of stable
tranquility.
Abhyasa means
cultivating the lifestyle, actions, speech, and thoughts, as well as the
spiritual practices that lead in the positive direction (rather than going in
the opposite direction, away from the positive, and towards the negative).
It means making
decisions on the basis of what will bring greater tranquility or peace of mind,
as these are the preparation for the deeper, subtler practices leading to
Self-realization.
Vairagya/Non-attachment
is about learning to let go of the many attachments, aversions, fears, and
false identities that are clouding the true Self.
Vairagya is the
practice of gradually letting go of the mental colorings that lead one away
from the spiritual (rather than going in the opposite direction, giving in to
the attachments and aversions).
To be able to do the
practices and to cultivate non-attachment, it is necessary to become better and
better at discriminating between what actions, speech, and thoughts take you in
the right direction, and those which are a diversion.
This discrimination is
both a foundation practice and also the subtler tool of the inner journey.
The attitude satkara
contains the principles of devotion, sincerity, respect, reverence,
positiveness, and right choice.
As you choose your
proper level of practice, and decide to do that daily, the attitude will come
more easily . That little flame starts to grow slowly and consistently into a
burning desire to guide your life in the direction of spiritual realization.
The simplest way of
describing non-attachment is as the process of letting go. We gradually learn
to let go of our attachments and aversions, systematically moving subtler and
subtler through the layers of attachments in the mind.
However, non-attachment
goes beyond this; it is not just a practice of letting go, but is a practice of
not taking on in the first place.
Non-attachment is not a
process of suppression or repression of wants, wishes, desires, thoughts, or
emotions. It comes by the ongoing practice of awareness of the existence of
attachments (kleshas) and gradually letting these weaken.
Non-attachment is not a case of doing
something, but is instead a non-doing sort of thing. It means that your
attention does not grab onto that impression in the mind in the first place.
Karma is what WE create through our deeds, words, thoughts, actions, etc. It is
the realm of cause and effect.
We can change our
destiny by being spiritually aware and
willing to follow the laws of the universe in our current lifetime. We can meditate, and be aware of our
choices.
By yoga and meditation
, you can let go of limiting thoughts and beliefs and therefore limiting
actions.
The soul carries with
it the samskaras ( mental impressions ) it received during its earthly
life. If these samskaras created phobias
and debilitating thoughts affecting free will in the next life—
Contrary to what the
shallow minded white man insists , Sanatana Dharma does not teach fatalism . In fact, Bhagawad Gita is all about BEING IN
THE MOMENT and DOING YOUR DUTY ..
It has been explained
in Vedanta that we human beings are
partly free and partly determined. It nonsense to say that fate places
obstacles in the way of free will.
Hinduism leaves man
quite free to act, using his own conscience ( which is NOT afforded by any
other single holy book religion ). Sanatana Dharma just guides and by pointing
man in the right direction.
Hindusim does NOT allow
man to escape responsibility by blaming fate,( for fate is of his own making ),
nor by blaming God, for He is but the dispenser of fruits in accordance with
the merits of actions.
Hinduism states that we
are the master of our own destiny. It is for us to make it, to better it or to
spoil it. This is our privilege. This is
our responsibility.
A Hindus who knows his
religion will straight away that Ashtavakra Gita is a FAKE document created and

Ego is the soul’s worst enemy. Small children less than 27 months age ( who

WHEN A DEAD BODY IS NOT
CREMATED, IT REMAINS TRAPPED ON EARTH FOREVER—MISERABLE AND LONELY
Cellular Memory is the
term often used to describe subconscious body imprints. In the form of
regression therapy it is essential to
relive the past life as fully as possible during the session.. Trauma causes
freezing and dissociation.
One needs to uncover
the depth of the past life characters experience to actually heal it. Reliving the past life helps in the
‘unfreezing process.’
In essence, unfreezing
wakes up that soul fragment that may still be stuck or split off from the whole
psyche. Reliving acts as a way to revive this ‘dead’ aspect of the soul.
Recalling a past life
story from the perspective of an observer, instead of being fully in the story
suggests that a dissociated part of the psyche is having the memory.
A dissociated memory is
not an accurate account because, that part of the psyche split off as soon as
things got difficult. Every past life we have had ended in death.
Each death is a
decisive transition stage for the soul. In therapy, this is where the most
crucial part of the healing begins—finishing the unfinished business.
Samskara is the
Malayalam / Sanskrit word for an indelible impression, from a current or past
life, stored in the subconscious mind which cannot be easily recalled to the
conscious mind and generates a predetermined thought pattern, behavior or
influence that can negatively affect one’s current life.
By erasing the
influence of the Samskara, a person can become free of its effect in order to
lead a more conscious, productive, happy, and fulfilled life.
Psychotherapy only
approaches specific Samskaras from our current life, such as child hood issues.
However, many Samskaras from a previous life or lives can still have an
influence in and upon our current life.
Some of the strongest
impressions are from a traumatic death which then shows up as fears and
phobias. Past life regression cannot
erase past Karmas but helps in performing Karmas better by removing some of the
impediments.
Vasanas affect our
ability to live fully in the present moment and curtail our true nature. The conscious mind can access the conscious
mind, memories and intellect, but not the subconscious.
NLP METHODS ARE SHALLOW
AND MINDLESS
The subconscious mind,
the causal body, that stores these impressions can be tackled through
subconscious states. Through deep
meditation we can access these deeper layers of our existence and memories from
previous lives.
By exploring our own
past lives we become aware of these repetitive, unconscious patterns and we
erase our past by resolving those patterns.
Only then, are we free from our past and the whole past is dropped.
Without making peace
with the past we will not progress.. Karma is not punishment system. Karma is a
feed back system through that we learn our lessons from the past and evolve.
Past-Life-Regression
helps individuals to understand the karmic patterns involved and the resultant
energy blockages. It is these energy blockages that manifest as diseases, which
are sometimes chronic. The understanding that flows clears the energy blockages
and thereby the disease is healed.
For example a person
who had this fear of closed spaces (claustrophobia) had experienced a past life
where he was buried alive in an earthquake. Once he relives this trauma, he was
able to overcome his claustrophobia immediately.
Past-Life-Regression
helps us to explore our past lives and through this exploration we realize that
we are eternal beings. We understand that death is a mere transition from one
state to another and that the essence of our being continues into eternity as
we have lived before and are going to live again after ‘death’.
Experienced and
qualified past-life-regression-facilitators do not give suggestions during
regression. They only direct the client
to seek the root cause of an issue, or the memory of the client's present

The mala does not allow

This counting of the
beads and the turning of the mala forms a break in the pattern and depth of our
concentration so that we maintain external, conscious awareness.
Just as a healthy body
can resists toxins and pathogens, a healthy mind can ward off the negative
sensory influences around it

karma are very much related and sound the same- but both are NOT the same..
Karma is something that
you get based on what you put out. On
the other hand Fate, is that will happen inevitably.
Fate can be called as

something that has been written in your life even before you were born.

the individual to ignore that the power of transformation lies within. There is always a tendency to blame external

Dharma is when we are
walking the path of our soul's purpose.

flow with the universe, with our spirit. Our soul is line with the Divine.
Vengeance is not the

Animals are not subject

Wear loose fitting
clothes which does NOT constrict you in any way. Sit on a smooth surface , in a comfortable
meditation pose . This is to eliminate
sense of touch / feeling.
Put your thumbs in your
ears and palm your eyes with your middle and fourth finger.
Now do OM CHANT with an
audible MMMMMMM.
You will feel intense
vibrations inside your ear — the cochlea spiral passage resonated to 7.83 hertz
( OM frequeny and also earth’s heart beat frequency ) and your brain produces
NITRIC OXIDE .
Now select a silent,
NOT so bright, cool place space, where there are NO strong smells . This
is to prevent any input of sense of hearing/sense/ smell . If you can even feel the clock
ticking-put ear plugs –only if you are a
beginner.
Keep the head, shoulder and spine upright and straight. And place the hands on the knees in (Jyana
Mudra). Upright is to keep the spirit level
in the inner ear at equilibrium so that your brain lobes get balanced and
synchronized.
Shut your eyes. No need to be cockeyed .
Simply be mindful of
in-and-out diaphrgmic breathing where you stomach rises and falls. You may feel that your breathing is too
short, too long, too gentle or too heavy.
Do not try to control it.
When you become
distracted, gently refocus your attention on your breathing. Restrict your attention to what is occurring
in the immediate present moment.
When you feel you have
blocked out all ahara ( feed ) via your senses of smell, sight, hearing and
feeling , take a deep breath where you fill your lungs only 90 % and hold it
. Put your tongue on your upper palate
and tickle it for just 2 seconds and stop.
Now start exhaling VERY
slowly while keeping the tip of your tongue stationary on the roof of your mouth.
Don't think about the
past or future— don't think about anything at all. Let go of worries, concerns , and
memories. Empty your mind of everything.
To be frank you cannot
think even if if want to —I can challenge you on this .
Do this 3 more times
. This means you inhale again , hold
your breath and do the same thing.
Later on you do NOT
need to hold your breath and you can do this procedure for LONGER TIME ,
without ear plugs and your eyes open against a blank far away wall of your
room.

Samskaras go much
deeper than that. They belong to the realm of the unconscious mind and
construct the human personality. Without samskaras we would not be classified
as human beings.
If we try to understand
personality in general, we will find that even animals have personalities. They have samskaras which go beyond the
instinctive aspect of animal consciousness.
The literal meaning of
samskara in Malayalam and Sanskrit is, 'akara' meaning 'form', or 'personality', and 'sam' meaning
'the totality of'. When we deal with
the aspect of consciousness, energy and personality in each object or being, we
are talking about the samskara..
Matter contains energy,
energy has movement and within that movement there is some underlying conscious
awareness which maintains it in its orbit in the field. That is what we call samskara.
Samskaras are related
to karma too. Consciousness has been
given certain impressions which we can call experiences of the deeper self. We
become aware of these impressions when we practise deep meditation, not
superficial meditation.
When we transcend the
conscious, subconscious and unconscious experiences of personality it is
possible that initially we become aware of certain traumas that have taken
place in our early childhood, and of which we did not have any conscious
recollection.
A human being is not a
totally different entity than its experiences in its previous lives. YOU are the soul within your mortal
coil. The soul is indestructible.
Past life issues that
carry into the current life are the result of karma. Samskara is intrinsically
tied into the laws of karma that govern the cycle of rebirth. Keeping in mind
the nature of traumatic imprints and how they cause continual recreation of the
original traumatic event, one can also look at samskaras as trauma imprints
re-manifested from life to life.
It is the essence of
karma to bring forth the actions of the past to the present. The inability to
complete even the simple action of ‘fight or flight’ as a result of trauma in
past lives is also carried into the present as the soul continues to create
from its own wounded place in an ongoing effort to heal.

Most of us are born
already with some degree of Post
traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) . This is

Each Samskara has
inherent in it the capacity to once again recreate that very experience which

physical, emotional and mental bodies are not wiped clean in-between lives, but

The obsession to do or
not do a particular thing or act in a certain way was created in a past
lifetime The related compulsion does not stop until the past life is healed.

A Hindu is NOT afraid
of the HOUR OF JUDGEMENT after a single life on planet earth. His

What is a religion

Several centuries ago,

makes this life worthwhile, joyous, contented and happy, because the Hindu can
live and deal with current problems, knowing that they are transitory problems,
that they will not last forever; nor will they affect us forever.
They are problems; we
cannot deny that. But they are problems to be worked out with a positive
attitude and a high energy and a helping hand from our Gods.

cherished time of setting ordinary concerns aside and giving full stage to our
spiritual longings. It is a time to take
problems and prayers to our own personal Ishta devata ..

Only one thing he adds is that Ancient Muslim rulers believed in Sukracharya as their Guru. Since Sukracharya worshipped Siva alone (and not Vishnu) that is why Moghuls laid claim to all Shiva temples in Arabia to Pakistan, Afghanistan etc. and even in India (Kashi, Somnath etc). (Ayodhya Ram temple is an exception he says). They were against the Vaishnavites as was Sukracharya as Vishnu sided with Devas (pleasure he says). Then the stream of doership separate s from stream of knoweror observer. This allows freedom from karma carrying out all duties with equanimity.
Self realization lead s to liberation in two stages
In first step one is freed from bondageof karma so is free from all worries n stresses of day to day living enjoying life in the fullest by being in present moment performing duties with equanimity. Second step or ultimate liberation moksha occurs when all baggage is zero. Extremely few people are able to attain self realization from a Gyaani purush as inherent spiritual development up to that stage is necessary.

They may be prone to rapid mood swings and being unusually tearful or happy.
Vascular dementia will generally get worse, although the speed and pattern of this decline vary. Stroke-related dementia often progresses in a 'stepped' way, with long periods when symptoms are stable and periods when symptoms rapidly get worse.
This is because each additional stroke causes further damage to the brain. Subcortical vascular dementia may occasionally follow this stepped progression, but more often symptoms get worse gradually, as the area of affected white matter slowly expands.
As vascular dementia progresses, many people also develop behaviours that seem unusual or out of character. The most common include irritability, agitation, aggressive behaviour and a disturbed sleep pattern. Someone may also act in socially inappropriate ways.
Occasionally a person with vascular dementia will strongly believe things that are not true (delusions) or - less often - see things that are not really there (hallucinations). These behaviours can be distressing and a challenge for all involved.
In the later stages of vascular dementia someone may become much less aware of what is happening around them. They may have difficulties walking or eating without help, and become increasingly frail. Eventually, the person will need help with all their daily activities.
How long someone will live with vascular dementia varies greatly from person to person. On average it will be about five years after the symptoms started.
There is currently no cure for vascular dementia: the brain damage that causes it cannot be reversed. However, there is a lot that can be done to enable someone to live well with the condition. This will involve drug and non-drug treatment, support and activities.
The drugs that are routinely prescribed for Alzheimer's disease do not have benefits for vascular dementia, and are not recommended for it. Compared to Alzheimer's disease, which happens when the brain's nerve cells break down, vascular dementia happens when part of the brain doesn't get enough blood carrying the oxygen and nutrients it needs.
Doctors look for symptoms that progress in noticeable stages to diagnose vascular dementia. Alzheimer's, by comparison, progresses at a slow, steady pace. Another clue is impaired coordination or balance. In vascular dementia, problems walking or balancing can happen early. With Alzheimer's, these symptoms usually occur late in the disease.
A person with vascular dementia may seem to improve for periods of time until another stroke takes away more brain function, memory, and independence. Eventually, untreated vascular dementia usually ends in death from stroke, heart disease, or infection.
Whether a stroke affects your thinking and reasoning depends on your stroke's severity and location.

In-office neurological examination assessing function of nerves and reflexes, movement, coordination, balance and senses
Like other types of dementia, vascular dementia shortens lifespan. Those who develop dementia following a stroke survive three years, on average. The brain generates new blood vessels and brain cells outside the damaged region take on new roles.
Not everyone who has a stroke will develop vascular dementia, but about 20 per cent of people who have a stroke do develop this post-stroke dementia within the following six months. A person who has a stroke is then at increased risk of having further strokes.
If this happens, the risk of developing dementia is higher..A person who has had a stroke, or who has diabetes or heart disease, is approximately twice as likely to develop vascular dementia. Sleep apnoea, a condition where breathing stops for a few seconds or minutes during sleep, is also a possible risk factor
There are many ways to help someone remain independent and cope with the cognitive symptoms of vascular dementia. For example, breaking complex tasks down into smaller steps will make them easier.
As the dementia worsens, many people enjoy more general reminiscence activities.

Hyperventilation to PaCO2 levels below 20mmHg has been shown to induce cerebral ischemia. Cerebral ischemia with extreme hyperventilation is likely mediated by severe vasoconstriction of cerebral vessels and alkalosis induced leftward shift of the oxyhemoglobin curve, thus decreasing oxygen delivery to brain tissue.

I always felt and was arguing with my friends that our R.Murthy deserves much better fame and money than R.K.Laxman (with due respects to R.K.Laxman). The reason I often quoted is, had R.Murthy been in bombay, he would have become more famous than RKL......If ever I see times of india in any house, promptly I advise them to change the newspaper.

Knowledge is a continuous process. We as doctors introspect and analyse our failures to evolve as better ones...similarly we share our failures and success with our colleagues for collective benefit of us and society at large.
After nearly 36 years in this profession i can only say that two things are inevitable in medical profession. Error of judgement and medical mishaps like the one in the case in discussion today.
Friends, medicine is not a full proof science. It has limitations and the biggest factor beyond our control is the response of patient's body. A teacher teaches 60 students in the class at a time . One stands first while a few fail!! Patient's response is similar. And it can be unpredictable.
We always treat all in good faith but such outcomes at times can shake our faith in science!!!
Friends, when we travel , we always trust the fellow behind the wheel and hope that he or she will take us to the destination safely. If we meet with an accident we accept it as a fate but unfortunately nobody is generous when it comes to such accidents in medicine!!!
Doctors and their family members too meet with such complications and they too have similar longevity as the rest of the society!!
I have nothing more to say...
Doctors are as human as anyone else.
Neither give them status of the God nor throw bricks at them....
