THIS POST IN CONTINUED FROM PART THREE BELOW--
########### SWALLOW THE EUPHEMISM.
A euphemism is a word or expression often used instead of another word that may be found offensive or might suggest something unpleasant.
Some euphemisms are intended to amuse but mainly they are intended to downplay what the actual more applicable word or term means. Most euphemisms are used to protect the hearer rather than to mislead.
When part of a spin performance, euphemisms are usually used with other spin methods.
With spin, euphemisms tend to be used when the intent is to manage the impressions of the audience so that they will not react to bad news in a way the spinner does not want.
With spin, euphemisms tend to be used when the intent is to manage the impressions of the audience so that they will not react to bad news in a way the spinner does not want.
Examples of euphemisms:
“adult entertainment “ ( hard core pornography )
"an environmental hiccup" (a large oil spill)"
downsize / rightsize / agreed departures / terminate / deselect / lay off / release / made redundant / let go" (fired or otherwise lost jobs)
"job flexibility" (lack of job security)
"human resources" (employees)
"improving productivity" (making people work harder for the same salary)
"undocumented workers" (illegal aliens)
"campaign contribution" (political donation)
"pro-choice" (wanting abortion to be legal)
"pro-life" (wanting abortion to be illegal)
"improper / questionable" (wrong, wrong-doing)
"air support" (bombing)
"collateral damage" (missing the target, causing civilian deaths or damage)
"friendly fire" (weapon fire coming from one's own side that causes accidental injury or death to one's own forces)
“correctional facility” ( jail )
“ differently-abled “ ( handicapped )
“ turn a trick” ( prostitution )
“gay “ ( male homosexual )
“ negative patient outcome” ( dead )
“ letting someone go “ ( sacked )
“ comfort woman” ( prostitute )
“ break wind “ ( fart )
“ economical with the truth “ ( liar )
“economically disadvantaged “ ( poor )
“temporary negative cash flow “ ( broke )
“economically depressed neighbourhood “ ( slum )
“under performing assets “ ( debt laden )
Sometimes called doublespeak, a euphemism is a word or phrase which pretends to communicate but doesn’t.
It makes the bad seem good, the negative seem positive, the unnatural seem natural, the unpleasant seem attractive, or at least tolerable.
It is language which avoids, shifts or denies responsibility. It conceals or prevents thought.
These frequently stand alone as an audience manipulation technique; but also get used in association with weasel words and other spin techniques.
Assertions are positive statements presented as fact. They imply that what is stated is self-evident and needs no further proof. Assertions may or may not be true.
(Remember we are talking about spin. Spin involves deception. When assertions are true and not presented in a manner to mislead they are not spin.)
Any time an advertiser states that their product is the best without providing evidence for this, they are using an assertion. The unspoken object of the spin-doctor is for the audience to simply agree to the statement without searching for additional information or reasoning about it.
Assertions, although usually simple to spot, are often dangerous forms of propaganda because they often include falsehoods or lies.
An assertion is an enthusiastic or energetic statement presented as a fact, although it is not necessarily true. They often imply that the statement requires no explanation or back up, but that it should merely be accepted without question.
Any time an advertiser states that their product is the best without providing evidence for this, they are using an assertion. The subject, ideally, should simply agree to the statement without searching for additional information or reasoning.
Assertions, although usually simple to spot, are often dangerous forms of propaganda because they often include falsehoods or lies.
############## BURY THE TRUTH
Hide the truth by erasing it, or rewriting it, or destroying evidence, or stashing it someplace out of sight. Don't let people see the truth.
Such dishonest behavior is often rationalized by saying, "We don't want people to get the wrong idea."
Which really means: "We don't want people to get the right idea."
############### SWEEPING STATEMENTS
Make sweeping statements to give the impression you want, but insert so many qualifiers that the statements are meaningless, or downright dishonest. This is also known as "insert loopholes" into statements.
You get bombarded with advertisements that say,
"Make up to $6000 per month working from home."
Up to? Why the upper limit? Why not a lower limit? Why don't they advertise,
A bank advertises: "We can close your loan in as little as two weeks. Guaranteed."
That isn't a guarantee. That open-ended qualifier. "In as little as" means that they might close your loan in two weeks, or two months, or two years, or whenever...
24.5.2010: BP (British Petroleum) says that it "will pay all legitimate claims for damage" from their immense oil spill. What is "legitimate", and who gets to decide which claims are "legitimate"? Is BP really going to pay much at all? After the Exxon-Valdez ran aground and dumped its load, Exxon delayed payments for the Prince William Sound disaster for 20 years and then got the Supreme Court to reduce the payments to nearly nothing.
############## I AM A COMMON MAN LIKE YOU:
The "plain folks" or "common man" approach attempts to convince the audience that the spinner's positions reflect the common sense of the people. It is an old propaganda technique.
It is designed to win the confidence of the audience by copying the common manner and style of the audience in order to convince the public that the spinner's views reflect those of the common person and that they are also working for the benefit of the common person.
The spin-doctor will often attempt to use the accent of a specific audience as well as use specific idioms or jokes.
Also, during speeches they may attempt to increase the illusion through imperfect pronunciation, stuttering, and a more limited vocabulary. Deliberate errors such as these help add to the impression of sincerity and spontaneity.
In a political arena, this has quite a capacity to back-fire if the audience feel they are being mocked or spoken down to.
But this is a common advertising technique.
When confronted by this type of spin, the subject should consider the proposals and ideas separately from the personality of the presenter.
A plain folks argument is one in which the speaker presents him or herself as an average Joe — a common person who can understand and empathize with a listener's concerns.
The most important part of this appeal is the speaker's portrayal of themselves as someone who has had a similar experience to the listener and knows why they may be skeptical or cautious about accepting the speaker's point of view.
In this way, the speaker gives the audience a sense of trust and comfort, believing that the speaker and the audience share common goals and that they thus should agree with the speaker.
This is a technique of psychologically transferring the positive or negative qualities normally associated with a particular person, object, organization etc to another in order to make the second more acceptable or to discredit it.
Transference occurs when a person takes the perceptions and expectations of one person and projects these onto another person.
Example: An American politician may have his TV interview shot in front of the Abraham Lincoln memorial. (The purpose of this is to psychologically transfer positive attributes of Lincoln to the politician in the eyes and minds of the viewers.) Or a soldier may be photographed with a national flag in the background.
This technique is also used in advertising: for example, using an igloo and a polar bear to link with the cooling properties of an air conditioner.
Transference is a phenomenon characterized by unconscious redirection of feelings from one person to another.
One definition of transference is "the inappropriate repetition in the present of a relationship that was important in a person's childhood". Another definition is "the redirection of feelings and desires and especially of those unconsciously retained from childhood toward a new object".
Still another definition is "a reproduction of emotions relating to repressed experiences, especially of childhood, and the substitution of another person ... for the original object of the repressed impulses
Repetitious use of words, phrases or symbols are not as innocuous as you may think. When things are repeated time after time, psychologically the information is being taken on board in our minds. It makes us more likely to do what we are being programmed to do (eg buy Brand X for washing whites, shopping at grocery store Z etc).
Remember Goebbel's (the Nazi propaganda minister) attitude towards repetition (which was similar to Hitler's):
Nazi slogans and repetition "If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it."
Slogans are based upon the technique of repeating a catchy phrase, assertion or symbol. Slogans also provide an opportunity for spin doctors to set thoughts in our minds, and influence our attitudes and actions.
The repeating of the same ad on multiple occasions in the course of an evening of watching TV attests to marketers believing in the power of repetition.
The repetitive assertion of messages by politicians and others (whether based on facts or lies) have power over our thoughts and actions as a consequence of our repeated exposure to them.
Repetition is used so much because it is easy and effective. When people repeat a power statement or word, about their topic. The group listening will remember that statement any time they think about that certain subject.
################## LABELLING OR PINPOINTING THE BAD GUY
This technique is more than name calling.
It attempts to arouse prejudices in an audience by labeling the object of the propaganda campaign as something the target audience fears, hates, loathes, or finds inferior or undesirable.
This technique employs sarcasm, ridicule and cartoons.
It was used against the Jews in Nazi Germany and the blacks in apartheid South Africa.
"Swift-boating" is a more recent political example of this technique.
Pinpointing is a form of simplification in which a complex situation is reduced to the point where the "enemy" is unequivocally identified.
For example, the president of country X is forced to declare a state of emergency in order to protect the peaceful people of his country from the brutal, unprovoked aggression by the leaders of country Y.
Make one's enemy into the Devil incarnate. Tell endless stories how evil and monstrous the enemy is.
For example, as the Bush administration lied us into the War in Iraq, all were told that Saddam Hussein was "the Hitler of the Middle East", and that he used chemical weapons on his enemies (which the USA actually gave him to use on the Iranians), and that his troops were so heartless and brutal that they threw Kuwaiti babies out of incubators and onto the floor as they stole the incubators.
The latter story was actually a lie told by the CRYTO JEW daughter of the Kuwaiti ambassador to incite Americans to go to war on behalf of Kuwait.
################## IGNORING PROOF
This involves ignoring material presented by an opponent as inadequate and demanding more proof. It may be associated with the spinner repeating a message he wants to get across (for which there is little or no proof).
The Modi Govt is guilty of ignoring proof on GM crops.
################### DESTROYING PROOF
This occurs when there has been wrong-doing and there is risk of being found out, embarrassment, censure, or punishment. It involves destroying all or unfavorable parts of evidence or hiding the evidence in difficult to find places; and/or using code words to obscure data.
The spoliation of evidence is the intentional, reckless, or negligent withholding, hiding, altering, fabricating, or destroying of evidence relevant to a legal proceeding.
Tampering with witnesses is a crime
A person commits the crime of tampering with evidence when he or she knowingly:--
alters, conceals, falsifies, or destroys
any record, document, or tangible object
with the intent to interfere with an investigation, possible investigation
This crime includes making false entries in records or doctoring documents, such as by “cooking the books” of a business to hide illegal activity or avoid taxes or other required payments.
Tampering with evidence also includes destroying or altering documents or things “in contemplation of” an investigation or other proceeding that may occur in the future.
Spoliation of evidence is often important in e-discovery matters, as oftentimes records in electronic form such as SMS messages may be difficult to retrieve, preserve, or monitor
HILLARY CLINTON DELETED 33,000 EMAILS . . TRUMP HAS PROMISED TO INCARCERATE HER ,IF HE BECOMES PRESIDENT.
The U.S. government takes tampering with evidence very seriously. A person who is convicted of the crime under federal law may face a prison sentence of not more than 20 years, a fine, or both. (18 U.S.C. § 1519.)
STUPID HILLY BILLY YANKS. THEY ARE MORE INTERESTED WHETHER TRUMP GRABBED PRIME PUSSY OR NOT.
################ CREATING PROOF
Spinners can create "proof" by altering existing documents or data in various ways or completely fabricating it.
"Proofiness" in manipulation of statistics and incorrect logic is also used.
The media is also often manipulated by the spin-doctors who present the media with press releases written as they were news items. The intent of this technique is to mislead the audience to think in a certain way or act in a certain way (which they may not have done if it weren't for the fake proof).
Because news media relies on advertisers, there is a tendency for media to censor articles that are critical of major sponsors (which of course includes government and big businesses). This makes it difficult for the public to voice dissent (which is what the spinners want).
It can also make it difficult for staff journalists to publish some articles. However if it becomes publicly known that the media has been subjected to censorship tactics by government or other sources, this can have significant negative consequences for those implicated in the censorship.
It is also an old propaganda tradition for "Front" companies or groups to be created to create an impression that there are large numbers supporting the spinner (and creating the false illusion that the group is independent of the spinner).
In modern media, spin-doctors also create fake support forums and blogs (with input created by a few spinners using multiple IDs). This is truly a black art form of spin as it is unquestionably a lie designed to deceive.
False evidence, fabricated evidence, forged evidence or tainted evidence is information created or obtained illegally, to sway the verdict in a court case.
Forged evidence - an item or information manufactured, or altered, to support some agenda, is not admissible in many courts, including U.S. criminal courts.
Planted evidence - an item or information which has been moved, or planted at a scene, to seem related to the accused party, is not admissible in many courts, including U.S. criminal courts.
Tainted evidence - information which has been obtained by illegal means or has been revealed (or traced) using evidence acquired by illegal search, and/or seizure, is called the "fruit of the poisonous tree" and is not admissible in many courts, including U.S. criminal courts.
Parallel construction - tainted evidence, where the origin of the evidence is untruthfully represented, preventing discussion of whether it was legally obtained or not.
Suppressed evidence - an item or information which a court judge has ruled as "inadmissible" is forbidden to be presented in a court case. Suppressed evidence might be excluded because it was found hidden or locked away in areas the accused could not be proven to know.
In the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, soldiers have been known to place weapons on or near a slain individual to make that person appear to be an enemy combatant or insurgent.

############# LIES , DAMN LIES !
White lies are MINOR lies as per the white man.
Not any more !
We Indians call a white fuckin’ lie a MAJOR lie
The white man says that white lies are used to shield someone from a hurtful or emotionally damaging truth..
We Indians consider it the other FOUL extreme –it is to screw someone totally—hook, line and sinker.
Spin is all about deception. Sometimes the spinners don't bother with complex methods to cover-up deception. Outright lies and deliberate omissions can work on a gullible audience too.
"Propaganda," Goebbels once wrote, "has absolutely nothing to do with truth."
Because politicians pull many of these standard stunts on you every election year, and you have grown immune to some of them. And modern advertising uses a lot of them, too, and you just tune them out.
A lie by omission occurs when an important fact is left out in order to foster a misconception. Lying by omission includes failures to correct pre-existing misconceptions.
Political leanings may lead to lying by partisan reporting, in which scandals involving one party as front page news while similar incidents among another are relegated to bylines buried towards the back of the newspaper. Whether or not this is lying by omission depends on the stated goal of the outlet in question.
A lie of omission is a lie in which someone deliberately withholds pertinent details about something in order to skew someone else's idea of the truth or engender a misconception. Although a lie of omission is not technically a lie because it contains no false information, it is still referred to as one colloquially because it is deliberately misleading.
Lies of omission can occur over both the short and long term. For example, if a car salesman says that a car is regularly inspected yet neglects to say that a major defect was revealed upon the last inspection, he commits a lie of omission in the short term.
A lie by omission occurs when an important fact is left out in order to foster a misconception. Lying by omission includes failures to correct pre-existing misconceptions. For example, when the seller of a car declares it has been serviced regularly but does not tell that a fault was reported at the last service, the seller lies by omission. It can be compared to dissimulation.
An omission is when a person tells most of the truth, but leaves out a few key facts that therefore completely change the story.
A lie is a statement that the stating party believes to be false and that is made with the intention to deceive.. Lies may be employed to serve a variety of instrumental, interpersonal, or psychological functions for the individuals who use them.
Generally, the term "lie" carries a negative connotation
Believing and acting on false information can have serious consequences. Therefore, scientists and others have attempted to develop reliable methods for distinguishing lies from true statements.
A barefaced (or bald-faced) lie is one that is obviously a lie to those hearing it
A big lie attempts to trick the victim into believing something major which will likely be contradicted by some information the victim already possesses, or by their common sense. When the lie is of sufficient magnitude it may succeed, due to the victim's reluctance to believe that an untruth on such a grand scale would indeed be concocted.
Bluffing is an act of deception that is rarely seen as immoral when it takes place in the context of a game, such as poker, where this kind of deception is consented to in advance by the players.
For instance, a gambler who deceives other players into thinking he has different cards to those he really holds, or an athlete who hints he will move left and then dodges right is not considered to be lying (also known as a feint or juke). In these situations, deception is acceptable and is commonly expected as a tactic.
While a lie is related by a speaker who believes what is said is false, bullshit is offered by a speaker who does not care whether what is said is true because the speaker is more concerned with giving the hearer some impression.
Thus bullshit may be either true or false, but demonstrates a lack of concern for the truth which is likely to lead to falsehoods.
A cover-up may be used to deny, defend or obfuscate one's errors, one's embarrassing actions or lifestyle, and one's lies that was made previously.
Defamation is the communication of a false statement that harms the reputation of an individual person, business, product, group, government, religion, or nation.
Deflecting is avoiding the subject that the lie is about, not giving attention to the lie.
Economy with the truth is popularly used as a euphemism for deceit, whether by volunteering false information (i.e., lying) or by deliberately holding back relevant facts.
An exaggeration occurs when the most fundamental aspects of a statement are true, but only to a certain degree. It is also seen as "stretching the truth" or making something appear more powerful, meaningful, or real than it actually is.
A fabrication is a lie, it is something made up, or it is a misrepresentation of the truth. Often propaganda is fabrication.
A fib is a lie that is considered easy to forgive due to revolving around trivial matters, e.g. a child fibbing that the family dog broke a vase, when in actuality the child accidentally broke it.
Fraud refers to the act of inducing another person or people to believe a lie in order to secure material or financial gain for the liar. Depending on the context, fraud may subject the liar to civil or criminal penalties
A half-truth is a deceptive statement that includes some element of truth. The statement might be partly true, the statement may be totally true but only part of the whole truth, or it may employ some deceptive element, such as improper punctuation, or double meaning, especially if the intent is to deceive, evade, blame or misrepresent the truth
A misleading statement is one where there is no outright lie, but still retains the purpose of getting someone to believe in an untruth.
A noble lie is one that would normally cause discord if uncovered, but offers some benefit to the liar and assists in an orderly society, therefore, potentially beneficial to others. It is often told to maintain law, order and safety.
In psychiatry, pathological lying (also called compulsive lying, pseudologia fantastica and mythomania) is a behavior of habitual or compulsive lying
Perjury is the act of lying or making verifiably false statements on a material matter under oath or affirmation in a court of law, or in any of various sworn statements in writing. Perjury is a crime, because the witness has sworn to tell the truth and, for the credibility of the court to remain intact, witness testimony must be relied on as truthful.
A polite lie is a lie that a politeness standard requires, and which is usually known to be untrue by both parties. Whether such lies are acceptable is heavily dependent on culture. A common polite lie in international etiquette is to decline invitations because of "scheduling difficulties".
In Indian culture when a prospective bride/ groom is rejected—we say the horoscopes did NOT match. This is left at that.
Puffery is an exaggerated claim typically found in advertising and publicity announcements, such as "the highest quality at the lowest price", or "always votes in the best interest of all the people". Such statements are unlikely to be true – but cannot be proven false and so do not violate trade laws, especially as the consumer is expected to be able to tell that it is not the absolute truth.
The phrase "speaking with a forked tongue" means to deliberately say one thing and mean another or, to be hypocritical, or act in a duplicitous manner.
When one lies, one undermines trust in society.
Propensity to lie varies greatly between children, some doing so habitually and others being habitually honest. Habits in this regard are likely to change in early adulthood.
Muslim can tell lies as per quran if the person is threatened and wants to safeguard himself. Also, to protect Islam, one can tell lies. The practice is known as Taqiyya.
################# BURY THE LEAD
Burying the lead ( pronounced as leed ) is a newspaper term. It means that you hide the most important fact in the story down at the bottom of the article.
For example, a recent newspaper article about the soaring price of oil tried to explain the price increases in terms of speculators buying oil futures, and political instability in foreign countries causing uncertainty in the market.
Then they gradually got around to mentioning that India and China have booming economies that want ever more oil. And then finally, in the last sentence of the article, someone said, "Oil is getting harder to find."
A lead paragraph (also called a lede) in journalism and sometimes other kinds of literature is the opening paragraph of an article, essay, news story or book chapter.
Often called the lead, it usually occurs together with the headline or title. It precedes the main body of the article, and it gives the reader the main idea of the story.
In journalism, the failure to mention the most important, interesting or attention-grabbing elements of a story in the first paragraph is sometimes called "burying the lead"
Historically, one of the best examples of Burying The Lead was when the New York Times casually mentioned in a small article on page 9 of an issue, many months after the Year 2000 Presidential election, that if we had counted all of the votes (which is, after all, what you are supposed to do in a democracy), that Al Gore actually won the election, not Bush .
################## USE ASSOCIATION
Association is just linking together two unrelated things. Often, it creates an emotional reaction in the intended audience. It can be anything like Guilt by Association, Honor by Association, or Desirability by Association, depending on what somebody or something is associated with.
Advertisers routinely associate beautiful women in skimpy clothes with new cars, cigarettes, alcoholic beverages, clothes, and diamond jewelry. TV commercials teach us that we can get laid if we use the right toothpaste and the right under-arm deodorant. So we have been programmed to consciously or unconsciously associate sex with all kinds of strange things.
A corollary to association is something that I like to call "reverse association" — basking in reflected glory by honoring others (who may be totally out of your league). An easy way to accomplish that is to hand out "awards", honoring others for something or other.
An interesting example of "reverse association" is: Federal Reserve Chairman JEW Alan Greenspan received the Enron Prize for Distinguished Public Service from Ken Lay in November, 2001, less than three weeks before Enron filed for bankruptcy.
American politicians routinely wave the American flag and praise God, country, Democracy, Freedom, Mom and apple pie, pop and mom store trying to create links in people's minds (associations) between themselves and those other positive images.
Likewise, many commercials teach us to associate sugar consumption with happiness. Children are taught by TV commercials that eating gobs of sugar is really a lot of fun, and parents are taught that giving sugary Coke to children is how they show the children love.
Politicians also routinely kiss babies, hug children, and hobnob with other, more popular and powerful politicians, to look good by association. They also love to rub elbows with the rich, the famous, and the beautiful people, like movie stars and sports heroes, for the same reason.
And of course they want to be photographed with a good selection of wise men like university professors, Nobel prize winners, and high-ranking religious leaders, to look good by association.
Honor by association—Jews get more Nobel Prizes than Muslims –so Jews are smarter than Muslims. They don’t tell you the Alfred Nobel was a Jew and Jew Rothschild’s partner at Baku in the oil business.
In many advertisements, businesses heavily use the principle of honor by association. For example, an attractive spokesperson will say that a specific product is good. The attractiveness of the spokesperson gives the product good associations.
A form of the association fallacy often used by those denying a well-established scientific or historical proposition is the so-called "Galileo Gambit." The argument goes that since Galileo was ridiculed in his time but later acknowledged to be right, that since their non-mainstream views are provoking ridicule and rejection from other scientists, they will later be recognized as correct too.
So salt and pepper your speeches with zillions of flowery phrases and wonderful-sounding words and vague glittering generalities:
"God, country, Mom and apple pie"
"Patriotism, Freedom, Democracy, and the good old USA"
"inspiration and liberty for all"
"the combined moral and spiritual forces of the nation"
"The Love of Jesus"
"The Will of God"
"Freedom is on the march."
"Our wonderful patriotic troops who are fighting for Freedom in Iraq"
"Natural" and "organic"
It is really tragic how many innocent people have been murdered in the name of Freedom, Democracy, and Christian family values..

The secret in propaganda is that when you demonize, you dehumanize. When you dehumanize, it allows you to kill your enemy and no longer feel guilty about it. That is why during World War II, a lot of caricatures became animals. … You can kill a monkey a lot more easily than you can kill a neighbor.
Tales of atrocities also can dehumanize. The Rothschild media had gone to town telling how Gaddafi distributed Viagra everyday to his army-- to RAPE small girls .

This foul propaganda was the brainchild of Hillary Clinton
Jewess Hillary Clinton, along with her WAR MONGER side kicks Susan Rice and Jewess Victoria Nuland were out in front building up the case for war against Libya, a “UN Resolution,” and support for the terrorists attempting to overthrow the Libyan leader.
An article entitled “Hillary’s War: How Conviction Replaced Skepticism In Libya Intervention,” the Washington Post’s Joby Warrick describes how Clinton provided yeomen’s service in the effort to build an “international coalition” against Libya and Gaddafi and how she worked overtime to see to it that the nation with the highest living standards in Africa was reduced to a burning desert of rubble and savagery
U.S. National Security Adviser Susan Rice a stooge of Jew Rothschild has chalked out for Israel the single largest military assistance package — with any country — in American history.
If Jewess Hillary Clinton wins the White House, you can expect her side kick Jewess Victoria Nuland to be at her side. Victoria baby worked with Jew Rothschild to convert Ukraine to a resort for wealthy Jews —a sort of ISRAEL NO 2
Make one's enemy into the Devil incarnate.
Tell endless stories how evil and monstrous the enemy is.
Bush administration lied USA into the War in Iraq—by telling stupid Hilly Billy Yanks that Saddam Hussein his troops were so heartless and brutal that they threw Kuwaiti babies out of incubators and onto the floor as they stole the incubators.
The latter story was actually a lie told by the JEWESS daughter of the Kuwaiti ambassador to incite Americans to go to war on behalf of Kuwait.
The Demonizing the enemy, Demonization of the enemy or Dehumanization of the enemy is a state propaganda technique which promotes an idea about the enemy being threatening evil aggressor with only destructive objectives.
Demonization is the oldest propaganda technique aimed to inspire hatred toward the enemy necessary to hurt them more easily, to preserve and mobilize allies and demoralize the enemy.
During the Second World War, propaganda documentaries that contained enemy demonization and flag-waving patriotism were prepared by the US State Department and other state institutions of the United States and distributed
Demonization of the enemy can be much easier to conduct if the enemy is personalized in one man—examples Saddam Hussain , Gaddafi etc
Demonization of the enemy makes diplomatic solution impossible and inevitably leads into the war or worsening of relations.
The portraying one's enemy as demonic has bad consequence in treating the whole population or political apparatus associated with some enemy group or leader as equally demonic.
Recently, an American political cartoon asked the question, "What Would Mohammed Drive?" and answered it with a drawing of a man dressed in Muslim garb driving a rental truck with a missile hanging out the back.
Propaganda, both by governments and the private media, has evolved over the years as media has evolved. But, some say, the principle remains the same.
Dehumanization is the psychological process whereby opponents view each other as less than human and thus not deserving of moral consideration.
The term demonization is similar to dehumanization in that it makes the opponent seem subhuman, but not because they are an animal; they are a demon; evil incarnate. Although these processes can be used alone, the two processes are often used in conjunction with one another.
Aside from psychopathic personalities, human beings (including soldiers) have consciences and feelings.
They have the capacity to feel guilty for their actions. Whether by mass movement, or by a state-run propaganda campaign, it is dehumanization and/or demonization of the enemy which gives the best possible motivation to carry out the horrendous acts associated with torture, war, politicide, and genocide.
After all, it is easier to kill a poisonous black mamba or vermin; to engage in a holy war against a demon or devil, then to kill a fellow human being.
Dehumanization and demonization are key components to a successful killing campaign, without which, the world could find the key to the prevention of a lot of unnecessary conflicts. If people, especially leaders, would cease using these tactics, then the world would be able to see a lot less violence.
Human beings are reasoning creatures. Just like solving x to find y, we need to solve "why" to find x. X may be murder, rape, torture, or even name-calling. There is a rationality of genocide just as there is a rationality of business or athletics, or war or science."
Various forms of rationality have a history rooted in activities within which problems are constituted and solutions are found. Genocidal solutions have strong roots; they don't appear overnight.
In I Samuel, 15:3 of the Old Testament, "Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not, but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass."
Even while dehumanizing another, during war, soldiers dehumanize themselves. They realize that they are expendable, and this can make it easier to kill the enemy, whom is even more expendable. They may come to see just one life, their own included, as insignificant in the grand scheme of things.
Lifting the veil of dehumanization and demonization can greatly increase the odds of de-escalating a conflict, or even of conflict prevention. Rather than seeing another party as evil and as one who enjoys inflicting suffering, the adversary can be seen as a fellow human being who also suffers from the conflict, and who can be accepted as part of the same moral community
Restoring humanity to an enemy not only makes it less likely to kill them, but making an enemy appear to be worthy is a "noble kill." Honoring a fallen foe can actually have a positive effect on the conscience of the killer.
6000 YEARS AGO IN THE MAHABHARATA WAR , OPPONENTS WERE RESPECTED.
WHEN STALWARTS FELL , THE WAR STOPPED TEMPORARILY AND BOTH SIDES MOURNED AND PAID CONDOLENCES TO THEIR RELATIVES .
WHEN STALWARTS FELL , THE WAR STOPPED TEMPORARILY AND BOTH SIDES MOURNED AND PAID CONDOLENCES TO THEIR RELATIVES .
THE WAR WOULD THEN BEGIN ONLY THE NEXT DAY AT SUNRISE.
The image of an enemy held by a "reasonable man" may be one where the enemy is a decent man, but perhaps "temporarily misguided by false doctrines or forced to make war against his better will and desire."
In the Spanish-American War, the United States took advantage of the sinking of the Maine in the port of Havana, even at the time, arguments were made that it was an accident, which later was found to be almost assuredly the case, to start a war against weak Spain in an attempt to grab its colonies in Cuba, Puerto Rico, Guam, and the Philippines. In reality it was the JEW taking revenge against Catholic Spain for past misdemeanors.
That Japanese attack at Pearl Harbour was made in desperation, because the United States, then the world’s largest oil producer, had cut off the supplies of petroleum and other key materials to the island nation in an attempt to economically strangle Japan for colonizing China by force.
FDR refused the Japanese prime minister’s attempt to negotiate an end to the dispute; the “Hail Mary” Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor followed.
USA knew the attack for coming— but the JEW President allowed it to happen
Psychologically, it is necessary to categorize one's enemy as sub-human in order to legitimize increased violence or justify the violation of basic human rights. Moral exclusion reduces restraints against harming or exploiting certain groups of people. In severe cases, dehumanization makes the violation of generally accepted norms of behavior regarding one's fellow man seem reasonable, or even necessary.
Dehumanization is actually an extension of a less intense process of developing an "enemy image" of the opponent. During the course of protracted conflict, feelings of anger, fear, and distrust shape the way that the parties perceive each other.
Adversarial attitudes and perceptions develop and parties begin to attribute negative traits to their opponent. They may come to view the opponent as an evil enemy, deficient in moral virtue, or as a dangerous, warlike monster. In Pakistani terror camps the ISI does the dehumanization of HINDUS
An enemy image is a negative stereotype through which the opposing group is viewed as evil, in contrast to one's own side, which is seen as good. Such images can stem from a desire for group identity and a need to contrast the distinctive attributes and virtues of one's own group with the vices of the "outside" group. In some cases, evil-ruler enemy images form. While ordinary group members are regarded as neutral, or perhaps even innocent, their leaders are viewed as hideous monsters.
Enemy images are usually black and white. The negative actions of one's opponent are thought to reflect their fundamental evil nature, traits, or motives. One's own faults, as well as the values and motivations behind the actions of one's opponent, are usually discounted, denied, or ignored. It becomes difficult to empathize or see where one's opponent is coming from. Meaningful communication is unlikely, and it becomes difficult to perceive any common ground.
Once formed, enemy images tend to resist change, and serve to perpetuate and intensify the conflict. Because the adversary has come to be viewed as a "diabolical enemy," the conflict is framed as a war between good and evil
Once the parties have framed the conflict in this way, their positions become more rigid. In some cases, zero-sum thinking develops as parties come to believe that they must either secure their own victory, or face defeat. New goals to punish or destroy the opponent arise, and in some cases more militant leadership comes into power.
Enemy images are accentuated, by the process of "projection," in which people "project" their own faults onto their opponents. This means that people or groups who tend to be aggressive or selfish are likely to attribute those traits to their opponents, but not to themselves. This improves one's own self-image and increases group cohesion, but it also escalates the conflict and makes it easier to dehumanize the other side.
Deindividuation facilitates dehumanization as well. This is the psychological process whereby a person is seen as a member of a category or group rather than as an individual. Because people who are deindividuated seem less than fully human, they are viewed as less protected by social norms against aggression than those who are individuated. It then becomes easier to rationalize contentious moves or severe actions taken against one's opponents.
SHIRK ISLAMIC PREACHERS IN NORTH KERALA FUNDED BY ZIONIST JEW SALAFI/ WAHHABI FUNDS ARE DEHUMANISING HINDUS. . .
AND SO ARE THE KERALA COMMIES FUNDED BY ZIOIST JEWS – CHECK OUT THE BRUTAL ATTACKS IN KANNUR
Once certain groups are stigmatized as evil, morally inferior, and not fully human, the persecution of those groups becomes more psychologically acceptable. Restraints against aggression and violence begin to disappear.
Not surprisingly, dehumanization increases the likelihood of violence and may cause a conflict to escalate out of control. Once a violence break over has occurred, it may seem even more acceptable for people to do things that they would have regarded as morally unthinkable before.
Parties may come to believe that destruction of the other side is necessary, and pursue an overwhelming victory that will cause one's opponent to simply disappear. This sort of into-the-sea framing can cause lasting damage to relationships between the conflicting parties, making it more difficult to solve their underlying problems and leading to the loss of more innocent lives.
Indeed, dehumanization often paves the way for human rights violations, war crimes, and genocide.
The psychological process of dehumanization might be mitigated or reversed through humanization efforts, the development of empathy, the establishment of personal relationships between conflicting parties, and the pursuit of common goals.

#################### SCAPEGOATING , BLAMING
THE SHIP CAPTAIN CANT SCAPEGOAT. IF SOMETHING HAPPENS ON HIS SHIP- HE IS RESPONSIBLE— EVEN IF HE WAS HOLDING HIS BALLS AND WAS FAST ASLEEP UNDER THE BLANKET.
Scapegoating has been used throughout history as a means for people to move blame and responsibility away from themselves by attributing it to others (or to an object or event).
A scapegoat is the person or group made to bear the blame for or punished for those errors committed by others.
Scapegoating is a propaganda technique that has been used throughout history as a means for people to move blame and responsibility away from themselves by attributing it to others (or to an object or event).
A scapegoat is the person or group made to bear the blame for or punished for those errors committed by others. Scapegoating as a group necessitates that ingroup members settle on one specific target to blame for their problems
In olden days one person was singled out as the cause of the trouble and was ex-communicated or killed by the group. This person is the scapegoat. Social order is restored as people are contented that they have solved the cause of their problems by removing the scapegoated individual, and the cycle begins again. Scapegoating serves as a psychological relief for a group of people.
When problems occur, people do not like to blame themselves. They will thus actively seek scapegoats onto whom we can displace our aggression. These may be out-group individuals or even entire groups. Like bullies, we will often pick on powerless people who cannot easily resist.
Scapegoating increases when people are frustrated and seeking an outlet for their anger. Once cast as a scapegoat it can be difficult to shake off the classification.
In some families, one family member takes on the blame for all or most of the family’s problems; some refer to this person as the “black sheep.” ( PANWATI )
The person assigning blame may enlist the help of others, point to past blameworthy behavior of the scapegoat, or engage in abusive treatment of the scapegoat. Governments involved in scapegoating sometimes embark on propaganda campaigns.
Scapegoats can suffer a variety of negative consequences including loss of social status, economic problems, social isolation, and depression. People are more likely to engage in scapegoating when they are stressed, experiencing oppression, or afraid. Scapegoating, in turn, can lead to the oppression of a scapegoated group.
In management: Scapegoating is a known practice in management where a lower staff employee is blamed for the mistakes of senior executives. This is often due to lack of accountability in upper management.
A mean boss can blame his employees for his problems — "They are all against me. They have been sabotaging me at every turn."
A popular variation on this technique is, "Do whatever you wish to do, and blame somebody else for it".
Blame A Non-Factor-- Blame something that isn't really the cause of the problem. (It's a kind of diversion tactic, diverting attention from what is really wrong.)
A scapegoat may be an adult, child, sibling, employee, peer, ethnic, political or religious group, or country. A whipping boy, identified patient or "fall guy" are forms of scapegoat.
Assigning blame to an individual or group, alleviates feelings of guilt from responsible parties and/or distracting attention from the need to fix the problem for which blame is being assigned.
Scapegoated groups throughout history have included almost every imaginable group of people: genders, religions, people of different races, nations, or sexual orientations, people with different political beliefs, or people differing in behaviour from the majority. However, scapegoating may also be applied to organizations, such as governments, corporations, or various political groups.
In the 1940s, after the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor, the United States began an anti-Japanese propaganda campaign and imprisoned thousands of Japanese-Americans. Anti-Japanese racism lingered for years as many people blamed all Japanese people for the bombing.
After World War I, Germany was decimated, and double agent JEW Adolf Hitler rose to power by promising to make Germany strong again, blaming Jewish people for a host of social ills--as a FOUL tactic to carve out the land of Israel.
Flattery (also called adulation or blandishment) is the act of giving excessive compliments, generally for the purpose of ingratiating oneself with the subject.
Historically, flattery has been used as a standard form of discourse when addressing a king or queen.
Get someone to accept the bullshit that you are shovelling by flattering and praising them. This is an unabashed appeal to egotism.
Flattery is also used in pick-up lines when attempting to initiate romantic courtship.
For example, a television commercial tells housewives that "You are so wonderful — you juggle six jobs at once, take care of three kids, and still manage to look good — so that's why you should buy our junk. A sophisticated person like yourself would settle for nothing less..."
A commercial says, "There is no mass-produced human being. We know that you are unique, with special tastes." (That's why you should buy the same mass-produced junk that we sell to everybody else.)
Mamata Bannerjee’s puerile paintings were tomtommed to be masterpieces by her partymen . Some would buy it for crores .
She would actually start explaining , about MAA KE MAMTA in her paintings ( BAAP KA PEEPTA CHOLBE NAH ? )
############## PROOF BY ANECDOTE
Anecdotal evidence is evidence from anecdotes, i.e., evidence collected in a casual or informal manner and relying heavily or entirely on personal testimony. Mostly bull passed along by word-of-mouth but not documented scientifically
IN INDIA WE HAVE THE NEW WORLD ORDER INDUCTED NCW WHO BELIEVES IN ANECDOTAL RAPE EVIDENCE PROVIDED BY WHORES
Mother Teresa was made a saint by LYING IMMORAL anecdotal proof
Proof by Anecdote is a stunt where you make some grand generalization, and then you tell one or more stories that appear to support your generalization, and then you conclude that the point is proven. (You can ignore all of the other stories that disprove your point.)
This Proof-by-Anecdote technique is heavily used in advertising –especially in the weight loss section, whom Kothandaraman lost 50 kilos in one month
Where only one or a few anecdotes are presented, there is a larger chance that they may be unreliable due to cherry-picked or otherwise non-representative samples of typical cases. Accurate determination of whether an anecdote is "typical" requires statistical evidence.
In all forms of anecdotal evidence, its reliability by objective independent assessment may be in doubt.. The term is often used to describe evidence for which there is an absence of documentation, leaving verification dependent on the credibility of the party presenting the evidence.
Researchers may use anecdotal evidence for suggesting new hypotheses, but never as validating evidence.
Witness testimony is a common form of evidence in law, and law has mechanisms to test witness evidence for reliability or credibility.. Some witness testimony may be described as anecdotal evidence, such as individual stories of harassment as part of a class action lawsuit. However, witness testimony can be tested and assessed for reliability.
Where a court lacks suitable means to test and assess testimony of a particular witness, such as the absence of forms of corroboration or substantiation, it may afford that testimony limited or no "weight" when making a decision on the facts.
In USA , expert testimony of witnesses must meet the Daubert standard. This ruling holds that before evidence is presented to witnesses by experts, the methodology must be "generally accepted" among scientists..
Standard used by a trial judge to make a preliminary assessment of whether an expert’s scientific testimony is based on reasoning or methodology that is scientifically valid and can properly be applied to the facts at issue.
Under Daubert standard, the factors that may be considered in determining whether the methodology is valid are: (1) whether the theory or technique in question can be and has been tested; (2) whether it has been subjected to peer review and publication; (3) its known or potential error rate; (4) the existence and maintenance of standards controlling its operation; and (5) whether it has attracted widespread acceptance within a relevant scientific community
################ DOUBLE TALK
Confuse your listeners with contradictory, illogical, or incomprehensible jabber:
Double-talk is a form of speech in which inappropriate, invented, or nonsense words are used to give the appearance of knowledge and so confuse or amuse the audience.
ALL UPA CONGRESS SPOKESMEN ON TV ENGAGE IN IT—NOT BECAUSE THEY ARE WISE –BUT BECAUSE THEY ARE MINDLESS IDIOTS.
The pigs in George Orwell's Animal Farm wrote: "All animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others."
“We lose money on every car that we sell, but we make up for it in volume”
############ UNPROVABLE STATEMENTS
Just make up grandiose, completely unprovable statements that say whatever you want people to believe:
"God appeared to me in a vision and told me that he had a special message that I was to carry to the world."
"The Twelve Steps work in a magical mystical way that cannot be scientifically tested or logically explained."
############ MOVING THE GOALPOSTS
This trick is like:
Demand that your opponent prove Fact A.
When he does, answer, "But you didn't prove Fact B."
When he does that, answer ""But you didn't prove Fact C."
This trick is also known as "changing the parameters of the question afterwards", so as to invalidate a true answer. And it's also called "moving the bar".
Moving the goalposts, similar to "shifting sands" and also known as raising the bar, is an informal fallacy in which evidence presented in response to a specific claim is dismissed and some other (often greater) evidence is demanded. That is, after an attempt has been made to score a goal, the goalposts are moved to exclude the attempt. The problem with changing the rules of the game is that the meaning of the end result is changed, too.
Some include this metaphor as description of the tactics of harassment.
In workplace bullying, shifting the goalposts is a conventional tactic in the process of humiliation.
Moving the goalposts may also refer to feature creep, in which the completion of a product like software is not acknowledged because an evolving list of required features changes over time, which in extreme cases may even require rewriting the entire program. Thus, the goal of "completing" the product for a client may never occur.
Chutney Mary and Pickle John make a deal. However, Mary has much more power than John, because John is really desperate for whatever Mary is offering, and will do whatever it takes to get it.
Mary ends up abusing this power badly, reneging on the initial agreement and making a seemingly endless series of demands on John without ever keeping her end of the bargain.
Each time Pickle John fulfills Chutney Mary’s requirements, she simply adds another one. If he protests, she threatens to withdraw her offer entirely. This is Moving The Goalposts.
A gay couple that has been seeing each other for ten years are talking ...
Pansy Prick : No! I won't marry you-- my asshole has a NO ENTRY sign for you .
Humping Dick : Why? First you said that if I got a good career, you would marry me. Then you said that if I got a good job, you would marry me. After that you said if I got a nice car, you would marry me. What do you want now?
Pansy Prick : Well, we're going to need a place to live. I'll marry you when you get a house.
Humping Dick: How will I ever be able to marry and hump you ? You keep moving the goalposts.
