CHEMICAL TANKERS, TANK CLEANING OPERATIONS -- CAPT AJIT VADAKAYIL

TANK CLEANING ON PARCEL CHEMICAL TANKERS-

THE FOLLOWING SERVES AS A “MEMORY JOGGER" FOR A 3/4 STRIPER ON A
PARCEL CHEMICAL TANKER , RATHER THAN A CHECK LIST—AND IS BY
NO MEANS COMPREHENSIVE.

IT SHOWS THE PROACTIVE AND MULTI-TASKING NATURE OF CHEMICAL
TANKER SHIPBOARD MANAGEMENT.

A CHEMICAL TANKER 3/4 STRIPER CANNOT BE A HALF-WIT.

  1. thanks for information
    it helped me a lot

  2. hi mahmoud,

the same stripped bottom content while tankwashing , ( water/ solvent/ hot water ) --is used to flush the lines , drops and manifolds ( both sides ) .

finally lines are steamed from the p/s manifolds into tanks , via drop and pump --with steam alloawed to escape from PV vacuum side.
