Indeed, on November 15,
1979, Kaczynski put a bomb on United Airlines Flight 444 from Chicago to
Washington, DC. Had the bomb exploded properly, all on board would have died;
as it only partially exploded into a minor fireball, the plane was able to make
an emergency landing with passengers treated for smoke inhalation.
The Unabomber, like the
Tylenol Killer, usually wasn't present to watch his victims die. Ted Kaczynski
recorded in his journal his joy of reading the gory details of his bombings in

letters to the paper demanding they be published on the front page on penalty
of death for innocent citizens if they were not, both threatened to bomb mass
transit, both made references to opera and literature, both drew symbols of
crossed lines inside a circle at crime scenes, both referenced Norse symbols
and language, etc. Kaczynski looks very much like the Zodiac sketch, and the
similarities in handwriting ( even a child could figure out ) and word usage are uncanny.

most complicated devices was a package fitted with a barometer for a trigger
that would blow up an airplane once it hit cruising altitude. That one didn’t

and motorcycles were damaged or destroyed. Sugar was poured into the gas tanks
of the heavy equipment used by local logging and mining operations. Kaczynski’s
closest neighbor, Chris Waits, only realized years later that the apparently
harmless hermit he considered a friend had probably shot or poisoned several of
his dogs.
After Kaczynski’s
arrest, Waits further realized the Unabombers’ explosives had been made in
large part from items and tools stolen from his own workshop and scrap piles

They also found 30,000
pages of diary entries dating back to the early 1970s written in English,
Spanish, and other parts in a code.
Cryptographers were
impressed by the complexity of Kaczynski’s cipher which was made all the more
difficult to decrypt by his use of intentional misspellings, lack of
apostrophes, and random use of spacing.
The code was so
complicated, in fact, that Kaczynski could not remember it on his own. As a
result, along with his other writings and journals, investigators found the
solution key to the code ( this was his undoing ) which then gave them access
to what amounted to the Unabomber’s decades-long confession.

Kaczynski, now 77,
lives in a “supermax” prison in Florence, Colorado. He remains a prolific
writer, corresponding in hand with hundreds of people, and producing essays and
books. Technological Slavery, a collection, was published in 2010.

ReplyDeleteCaptain, you revealed in this old-comment that the story of Ekalavya chopping-off his right-thumb on Dronacharya's request for Gurudakshina was deliberately manipulated to make it a caste-issue & cover-up the original-fact that this was done because Dronacharya wanted to show Arjuna that the left-handed Ekalavya was a highly-moral-&-strong person who would do the right thing even if it hurt himself (sacrificing a thumb is painful, but since Ekalavya was left-handed it wouldn't affect his archery-skills) inspite of his "low-caste".
But why did Dronacharya refuse admission to Ekalavya in the first place ? Is it because he had an exclusive-school only for royal-children, because if so it would make some sense since it is like a policeman demanding to be admitted into the army-command-academy but is refused because it appears that he isn't skilled enough even if he is.
But that again raises another question. You have said that all the Maharishis could realize what a person was capable of by looking at his aura. If so, then did Dronacharya refuse Ekalavya because at the time of seeking-admission Ekalavya's aura wasn't powerful enough to convey his abilities ? Maybe just like how people reform & reduce their karmic-baggage (which increases their good-aura), similarly Ekalavya might have appeared to be an average-student but through his self-effort (Swadhyaya ?) he increased his skill-&-aura just like how a diamond is polished and refined ? Also, Dronacharya showed Arjuna, Ekalavya's strong-character when he asked for a thumb, highlighting that Ekalavya was good inspite of being from low-caste. How does caste figure in this incident if all that was needed was merit by good-aura/effort/etc. ?
What was the reason for refusal, Captain ? There are too many questions (sorry) but no answers even on your blogs (let alone rest of internet).

2) Jain-kids/youth are brainwashed to give up all their inheritance and become a monk/student-monk/etc.
3) Buddhist-kids/youth are brainwashed to become monks otherwise they are not "good-enough" or will not "evolve-to-higher-levels" forever.
4) Christian-kids/youth are brainwashed to become priest/nun to prove their devotion to God & his Son (Jesus) for which they will go to heaven.
Don't the leaders/management of all these organizations get any bad-karma for removing these kids/youth from the normal-life-duties ?
Also, do the kids/youth themselves get any bad-karma for doing this ? Because on one hand they are willingly abandoning their duties towards themselves, their family, society, etc. but at same time they were/are brainwashed into doing so by the leaders/management. Then who is to blame & who gets the bad-karma of these actions ?
If we think of it, no parent produces/wants-to-produce a child saying that -- "I hope my child becomes sanyasi/monk/priest/etc at age-18 and refuses to get married or even have a job" --- so shouldn't the Govt ban such conversion/coercion by passing laws which restrict any such "sanyasa/monkhood/priesthood" to anybody aged less than 50 ? If action can be taken on anti-conversion, then why not on anti-family-&-society-subversion ?
