Swami Vivekananda met Nikola Tesla-- the super genius , in Chicago in 1893, and introduced him to the ZPF, or akasha ( ether ).--the all pervasive sky of quantum energy of the universe. Reiki practitioners know what scalar waves can do.
Vivekananda told Tesla that classical science must factor human consciousness in, or be stuck in the mud for ever. He introduced him to the wisdom of ancient Vedas , which considers the universe and consciousness as fractal Sri Yantra geometry. Much later Tesla used to see brilliant blinding flashes of this TOE geometry .
The meeting was arranged by French actress Sarah Benhardt. Rudyard Kipling ( born in India ) and Mark Twain also wanted the meeting regarding mind over matter, cosmic free energy, akashik ether field to happen. They felt the planet deserved this union of classical science and quantum consciousness.
After the meeting , which forged Tesla's professional destiny -- Tesla started using Sanskrit words like Akasha for ether ( Zero point field )and Prana in his writings. He developed a penchant for Copper Lotas ( which Himalayan Yogis use ) and became a vegetarian.
Tesla's personal destiny was also affected. He had dozens of the most beautiful , intelligent and rich women vying for his love. Tesla decided to be celebate like Vivekananda , to harness and focus his mind to science.

You could have added the names of Leo tolostoy,arguably the greatest poet of all time...Physicist Erwin Schrodinger or Lord Kelvin who were equally influenced by Vedanta or Hinduism and teachings of Swami Vivekananda.

ReplyDeleteSitarist Ravishankar gave George a book about Vivekananda which completely changed his ideology and his later works were highly influenced by Vivekananda.
The song within you without you was written by George which was vastly influenced by Hinduism and Hindu Philosophy.
Also a book named Autobiography of a Yogi written by Paramhansa Yogananda was equally great considering the context of that time.
But unfortunately Vivekananda is very much an unknown name to current generation American,the country which tagged him "cyclonic Hindu".
About Tesla I can say that crazy son of God was highly influenced by Vivekananda.Since age 19 he used to sleep only two hours in a day but Vivekananda later commented in India about Tesla-"I know a person in west who hardly gets any time to go out of his lab but he listens to my lectures hour after hour...A true genius can be recognized only by another genius.Talking about Gandhi ,he could not gain enough recognisation due to his lifestyle .Brits,specially Churchill showcased him very badly but Einstein had lot of praise for him.After his death Gandhi has got enough respect from abroad but Vivekananda due to his short period of life has lost the battle.But if future generation of youth really study about him they will admire him as much as those of Renaissance men of Europe or even more.
In 1903 Swami was not hunting buffalos on prairie anymore. He was in heaven already so he could not meet Niki Tesla as Niki was still on earth

In your posts you use slokas from vedas and their meanings in English.From where do you get them with english meanins . Can you please tell the best translated author for Vedas in English.
(RIG VEDA- Translator Ralph T.H. Griffith )is this a good book .because after reading your posts i stopped reading Vedas translated by westerners. Please suggest a good E-book for Vedas in English. Guruji what about books of Gita Press,Gorakhpur.

hi nelson,
i am from kerala , where the namboodiri brahmins , including adi shankaracharya , have preserved the tradition of the vedas and ayurveda.
probably this is why parashurama chose them, to come to the southern most tip of india .
they did NOT suck up to the british like the tamilian iyers.
nor were they uprooted and vulnerable people like the kashmiri brahmins.
the brahmins in north india are a joke. see the amount of brahmins in UP , bihar etc. did they have so many temples there.
or are they all brahmins by induction?
vedas cannot be translated into english unless the person is highly perceptive. if you translate it literally it will sound ridiculous . mere knowledge of sanskrit is not enough.
the german quantum physicists were the first to understand the wisdom and allegory in the vedas.
i will NOT be able to recommend any book -- as i do NOT know what they contain.
have you ever seen any text on this planet--which explains brahmAn ( of the vedas ) as the empty space between the atom, where the electrons whiz aorund? ( ADVAITA )
or
the trinity of brahma/ vishnu/ shiva , as dance the of two opposites with a mediator in between? ( DVAITA )
or
SANKHYA as the observer brahmAn ( as purusha -advaita ) the audience of the dancer ( prakriti - the trinity - dvaita )
if you really understand what i mean here you will be shocked to see the wisdom in the vedas.
even vivekananda has NOT understood the true essence of hinduism created by noble seers , probably because he did NOT have a scientific mind.
