LUDOVICO EINAUDI DIVENIRE , THE JOY OF MUSIC - CAPT AJIT VADAKAYIL

In the video below my son plays, elegant therapeutic music in the famous "minimalist style" of the non-conformist 56 year old , Italian composer and pianist Einaudi.

Einaudi is a genius and I call him the KING of piano.

But hardly anybody knows him .

We like to boost pretenders like Lady Gaga , over Abba --right?

His transcendent style is TRANQUIL and meditative and can be used to back up information from your conscious to the sub conscious ( LH lobe to RH lobe-- for righthanders ) the day you dont get REM sleep.

MUSIC FOR THE SOUL FROM THE SOUL.

I remember sending my son to play piano at the age of 5.

Today he is 24, and works as a computer engineer .

My wife was to learn guitar and mouth organ , and my son would learn piano from a local music teacher.

My wife learnt one full Hindi song, the first day.

My son was to learn "happy birthday " --

-- but when I told him to play he could do only 3 tones-

HA -PPY- BHE-

-- and because I ridiculed him , he lost interest quickly.

-- and I told my wife  " He does NOT have the musical gene in him"

See how times change!

Here is the maestro LIVE at the Royal Albert Hall, London on 2nd March 2010.

  1. Respected Sir,

Request for a personal advice/ help.

I stay alone and presently off from my job, preparing for some exams.

From last few years I have been doing almost nil Physical exercise (even while at work it was almost nil).On top of that, I am eating food outside most of the time, which is too much oily.

So,I have put on a lot of fat/ my weight (around 100 kgs) nearly 20 kgs extra than my BMI. I am around 27 yrs old. Recently, I have started jogging (the way you had mentioned in your yoga post-- fast jogging followed by normal then fast again) after many years & brought a few gym items for doing some exercises too, but I feel tired and too much fatigue after the exercise.

So I got my Haemoglobin test done. The result is 13.6 ( as per report the Normal range for men is 13.5 - 18.0 ).May be this is bcz I have totally ignored a balanced diet. I am a vegetarian ( eggs occasionaly).Planning to do one time cooking (know a little bit) on my own, but the local market for fresh fruits/veggies is far off & what I visit is a food store with most of the imported (GM stuff, I believe) fruits/veggies.

Below are the vegetables/fruits available to me all round the year from that store :

Dry fruits ( all kind), Amul milk, fruits- Banana, apples, water melons, oranges, grapes, pomengranate, Paneer, capsicum, cauliflower, cabbage, carrot (seasonal), okra (ladies finger), Beans, lobia, tomatoes, potatoes, onions, lemons, eggs.

Sorry Sir, I know this Q is not worth wasting your time up on, hence thought many a times not to trouble you with this but hope you will help.

Sir, Can you suggest any tablets/capsules which I can supplement my diet with, for some time to increase my Hb and cover up any other unknown mineral/vitamin missing from my diet.

Sorry again for asking this personal favor.

    Many Thanks.

  2. Capt,

I bought a keyboard after reading your post about balancing the Left/right brain lobes. You're the best. It's sheer joy to play it even though I don't have a teacher yet so just playing the built in tunes.

Capt, I'm too much introverted. I love my own company best and don't feel the need to speak up in class and all. Is this a bad thing Capt?

    2. :). Capt, I'm probably transgressing here but why don't you stop drinking Capt.
I read your post on beer but surely there are not many health benefits to it.

Please don't reply to this if it's not worth your time. :)

    3. hi bs,

in the past 1000 days i have drunk HARD liquor maybe 20 days . only good GLENLIVET and GLENFIDDICH.

i like to have a beer in the evening before my dinner.

anytime i can stop it-- i have done it several times for a period of one month .

as long as you are NOT addicted in harming yourself and others , there is NO harm in exploring .

      this is life.

ALLOW TEMPTATION TO OVERTAKE YOU , ONCE IN A WHILE ( VADAKAYIL'S ADVICE -- TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT )

LIVE LIFE ON YOUR OWN TERMS -- WITHOUT FREEDOM THERE CAN BE NO HAPPINESS.

    4. Thank you for the gem Capt, I only meant for health reasons. :)
I wonder if you were having a laugh at bs. xD.

I reckon I am a bit of a health fanatic although I do have my own weak moments. Been down the whole paleo/primal route too with raw meat, liver, kidneys and blood milkshakes and was seriously considering beef but thankfully didn't go down that route.
