THE SCOURGE OF COMMUNALISM -- CAPT AJIT VADAKAYIL

REGULARS READING MY BLOGS WILL SAY--THIS IS JUST NOT THE CAPTAIN'S STYLE--
YES, IT IS NOT--

THIS WAS AN ESSAY I WROTE FOR MY 14 YEAR OLD SON FOR HIS SCHOOL PROJECT, TWO YEARS AGO --

We in India love to talk about “unity in diversity”.

Such a catchy slogan of an ideal India where different communities, races, religions, languages and cultural groups co-exist in harmony .

Communalism in India is the major cause of violence and intolerance in modern times (however we do tend to unite in times of external threat) .

Intolerance was the reason why British was able to "divide and rule" India for centuries.

Our enemies and anti national elements are able to create separatist tendencies and communal feelings easily. Lawlessness and Naxalism are on the rise. We have not shown the will to crush these disruptive separatist forces with an iron hand, due to vote bank politics and ruthless politicians being voted into the Parliament.

There are foreign powers fanning flames of communalism, racialism, provincialism , lingualism and casteism because they are jealous of our fast rise as a financial and military power. They fund Judas NGOs in India to be their instruments of subversion. They have their stooges coming on TV news channels funded by them on prime time to sow seeds of suspicion between castes and sects of Indian people.

For national integration it is important that we the people give up communal and sectarian outlooks. We should be Indians first and Indians last.

It is important to remove the divide between haves and have-nots and reduce unemployment, to give hope to the down trodden . Justice must be swift and fair.

Narrow minded language groups behave in a chauvinistic manner and have launched hate movements on the basis of son of the soil theory. An example is the “Marati Manoos“ agitation in Maharshtra with the champions of hatred and their perpetrators behaving as if they are a law by themselves.

The Cauvery water dispute riots saw many fall victim to meaningless riots. A lot of regional parties have cropped up in India who tilt the power balance , when a government has to be formed with full 2/3 majority.

In the last elections a big chunk of the candidates were known criminals.

Election manifestos are made to win the election with cheap gimmicks like free colour TV’s—with the needs of the country and society totally ignored.

There is another mini India in the north east part where the people have never been considered in the mainstream and have been alienated -- just because they don’t look like the rest of us .

Most of these areas do not have basic facilities. Seething with discontent they have taken to militancy.

The Naxalism movement has risen due to neglect of backward people in mineral and forest rich regions. Politics of regionalism has degenerated into militancy and terrorism, with our external enemies providing them with weapons and training.

Religion must never be allowed to mix with politics. Rulers now use religion to hold absolute power. It has become a drug -- more potent can any intoxicant.

Caste system must be eradicated , whose roots lie in the law of inequality. Every society in India is caste ridden . Even Christians and Muslims cannot go to just any church or mosque they feel like.

There are about 140 castes in Kerala Christianity and 10 castes among Muslims. Latin catholic, Syrian catholic , Pentecost, Salvation army, Marthoma, 7th day Adventist, Orthodox, Jacobite churches do not want others to wander in and pray. Every caste has its own rituals and self imposed restrictions.

We now have reservation policies, where the divide is made wider, with merit taking a severe beating. The caste system must die, for India to progress and know peace.

We in Kerala like to boast of our high literacy and high tech health facilities. Most of this feel good factor is because of the regular NRI money inflow. Take this aside and what you see is dirty politics and trade unionism.

There is hardly any leader of stature whom people can respect. We elected a ex-tailor chief minister , and what he does on day ONE is to break down illegal structures with him playing to the gallery in front of TV cameras—like a union leader and unlike a parliamentarian. Nobody dares invest in this beautiful state called “god’s own country” , marred by hartals, bandhs and daily demonstrations. Too much meaningless politics has killed the economic development of this state populated with bright people.

Like Churchill once said “ in war you get killed once—in politics you get killed over and over again and again”.

Regionalism and religion bases political parties must be banned from central politics, and a presidential form of government like in USA imposed . Of course this president ( like Abdul Kalam ) will have to be patriotic , honest , principled , fair and level headed.

He will need to be above the usual run of the mill politician who is a scoundrel at heart , and has used politics as a last refuge -- as he could not get a decent well paying job with his level of education, mindset and intelligence. This is why he uses his elected office as a personal fiefdom.

We need a strong leader who has the vision -- to envisage a country without labels, to rise together as a whole.
Bottom line:  99% of armed insurgency in India is fuelled and fanned by foreign funded NGOs operating as TROJAN HORSES-- in the garb of environmentalists, human rights activists, messiah missionaries  etc.

  2. Namaste Captain.

It is interesting to see the Marathi Manoos mentioned as a divisive force. The maharashtrians had to fight for their own separate state. This right was deliberately DENIED by nehru. About 105 people lost their lives. The biggest massacre took place near Flora Fountain in Mumbai. It's now renamed as Hutatma Chauk (meaning Martyr's Square). As per the illuminati norms, a torch is constructed at the mass sacrifice site. Look, who is fighting whom!

Who butchered Marathi Manoos, by the way? None other than our dear gandhian stooge morarji desai. He was never brought to books. No wonder an emboldened morarji later disclosed intelligence secrets to our sworn enemy and in return received nishan-e-pakistan award.

A Malyali man fighting for a Malyali cause in a mass movement in Kerala will be immensely useful force for Mother India.

    Humbly yours,
    -Gamma Pailvan
