BRITISH MUSEUM , HOUSE OF STOLEN TREASURES AND VANDALISED ARTIFACTS -- CAPT AJIT VADAKAYIL

I stayed in London for 2 weeks for briefing , prior joining a British flagged ship. (By the way this Stainless steel Chemical tanker , St James Park was with the Somalian pirates for several months.)

Every day I used to walk down from my hotel at Tavishtock square , to the British Museum-- just a few minutes walk.

Every year 7 million people visit this greatest universal museum of the world which was established in 1753 , and now contain more than 13 million objects.

Every single day , as soon as I entered the building some sort of feeling would possess me. I had the same feeling on all the days. It was a mixture of nostalgia, rage , shame . Hacked off and broken statue faces, limbs, noses lay every where .

It was the equivalent of you , coming across a beautiful woman with long hair. And soon enough her chopped off nose, long hair and breasts lands up for display in a glass cage, leaving her faceless, bald , breast less and dead. The rationale being --" See her hair and breasts were NOT safe on her own body!, We saved it "

And now-- wonder of wonders-- using this chopped off hair and tit-- Rothschild and Vatican has been rewriting th history of the planet. " See when we look at the tit objectively, from this angle, we can deduce that this woman had two childern BLAH BLAH"

95% of the artifacts in the British Museum are stolen and vandalized objects , and not as the greedy British historians would like us to believe that they were gifts or given for safe keeping.

I remember feeling physically overwhelmed by the sheer scale and variety of the artifacts, art and ideas on display:

5000 year old Mesopotamian relics,  Roman statuary,  Pharaonic carvings,  Viking burial objects ,  Indian Buddhist treasures,   Babylonian Antiques, The Greek Apollo temple frieze,  the Turkish Halicarnassus sculptures,  Chinese ceramics , Ur Mesopotamian goldenware---

They hardly gave importance to the vedic idols. The vedic civilisation is the worlds first civilisation.  It flourished on the banks of the river Saraswati from 9000 BC to 4000 BC, till the river dried up due to tectonic shifts blocking the Himalayan glacial mouth.

-- I wandered, blinking, from room to room.

The priceless Egyptian Rosetta stone,  vandalized Parthenon marbles,  Benin Bronzes, Ethopian tabots and royal crown , Tajikistan treasures,  broken busts of Ramses II,  Amenhotep III , the 8 foot tall bronze Buddha sakyamuni ( ridiculously renamed as Birmingham Buddha ),  the  Amaravati stupa railings ,  the Assyrian black obelisk,  the Portland vase  etc etc.

The museum was not trying to tell me something; it seemed to be offering to tell me everything.

At the entrance the golden roll of honour of Patrons of the British Museum was displayed . Now who are these so called Lord Elgins in reality ? – just evil smugglers, looters and vandalisers.

Elgin kept all his stolen greek marble goodies with himself , and sold it to the British museum for 35000 pounds only when his ass was on fire.

I asked one of the English Captains about the mindless vandalism and brazen display of stolen treasures. I said “ If you visit an Indian Museum you will never find stolen treasures and vandalized objects". He replied “ We British have a lot , we are not proud about. We are indeed guilty of stealing culture ” .

True-- If one has at least some vestige of self-respect one would not seek the possession of anything which belongs to another by right” .

Will the British allow Stonehenge to be vandalized, broken into little pieces and then shipped to the museum of some other country? – talk about double standards.

The same British government has made a huge fuss about returning art and treasures stolen by the Nazis during the second world war.  But they will not practice what they preach.

Don't the English have artifacts of their own culture and own history that they can show in museums? Britain can no longer claim a monopoly of civilization and culture. Booty from an occupied land may have been often taken in history, but it's not legal and definitely immoral to hold on to it, when the rightful owners want if back in the 21st century.

East India Company, who came to India in the year 1612 as traders and soon turned their attention to collecting some of the finest artifacts which they took back as personal possessions. Then they cultivated Opium in Bengal , India and smuggled more than 3000 tons to China , to barter with silver/ tea and to make addicts out of 20 million Chinese -- incl the emperor.

History repeats itself.

The widespread looting in Baghdad, Basra, Mosul, Kirkuk and other Iraqi cities, following the collapse of the Ba'athist regime of President Saddam Hussein, was not merely an incidental byproduct of the US military conquest of Iraq. It was deliberately encouraged and fostered. Thousands took part in the looting in Baghdad which began , the day the Hussein government ceased to function in the capital city .

Perhaps the most devastating loss for the Iraqi people is the ransacking of the National Museum, the greatest trove of archaeological and historical artifacts in the Middle East. The 28 galleries of the huge museum were picked clean by looters who made off with more than 171,000 irreplaceable artifacts, relics of past civilizations dating back 8,000 years .
These included the Sacred Vase of Warka [ 3200 B.C.], the Mask of Warka [ 3100 B.C.], the Golden Harp of Ur [ 2500 B.C.], the Bassetki Statue [2250 B.C.],  the twin copper Ninhursag Bulls [ca. 2475 B.C.].  Also stolen was a spectacular collection of more than 1,000 pieces of gold jewelry and precious stones from the eighth and ninth centuries B.C. that had been discovered between 1988 and 1990 by Iraqi archaeologist Muzahim Hussein Mahmud during his excavation of four royal tombs, and is considered by many to be one of the greatest archaeological finds .
The museum's entire card catalog was destroyed, making it impossible even to identify what has been lost . The military stood by toothless.

The Mesopotamian civilisation along with the Vedic Indian civilisation is the oldest in the world-- what was stolen , were all priceless-- you cant put a US dollar tag on it.

Donald Rumsfeld famously said . "All freedom's untidy. Free people are free to make mistakes and commit crimes” .

Today Rothschild would like you and me to believe , that they only contributed honourable stuff like zoological specimens -- like turtle shells --

How sweet!

Sniff!

It is good that India, who has never attacked any other country in history, is now becoming a huge military power.

Who says history cannot be reversed?

However, might is NOT right.

If the true owner wants it back, an artifact or relic must be returned!

Above is the oldest and most pricess piece in the entire museum -- a 9000 year old Apsara carving ( Emperor Vikramaditya )

  1. Great post!

Its appalling that these countries with fancy museums can openly display what doesn't belong to them.

  3. hi,

stealing someone else's property-- by breaking it up to wieldy pieces to cart it back home, and vandalising whatever is balance is UNTHINKABLE in sanatana dharma.

this is why jews have been persecuted by all the people , all over the world , all the time-- except in india.

today you find pseudo secularists claiming that british rule was good in india, because they built lot of bridges, roads , railway tracks and harbours.

these indian traitors whose hearts reside in jerusalem and vatican do NOT realise that all that was done to facilitate stealing our wealth and for easy troop movements.

shias and sunnis co-existed in iraq -- till the christian crusaders sent by president bush went there -- they did 'divide and rule" , as usual --and now fissures are so deep , it will be forever.
